Comixology Eisner Award Sale 99c (Digital Comics)

50

Digital Comics Sale featuring award nominated titles for 99c each, also some reduced collections of the same titles.

highlights are Saga and Sex Criminals. But best to use website, as apples iPad app blocks those titles from sale due to adult content. And if you don't know what Saga is get issue #1, its free. Then buy the rest when you realise its awesome.

  • +1 For Saga. though I have been getting it straight from the iPad comixology app since it came out. Although, I can't find Sex Criminals on there - figured they just didn't have it digital.

Nowhere men is also a good read. Now if they'd just hurry up and release more.

    • I think there was an issue or 2 of Saga that weren't available on ios, but public outrage may have changed that. However Sex Criminals is certainly not there. Thing is, I'm pretty sure you can just but off the website and then read on iPad.

  • Off topic but was wondering how much shipping to Aus was?

As far as digital downloads go? Very reasonable.

  • Best to get them through the website rather than the IOS app, as Apple have jacked the price up significantly for Australian buyers.

  • Thanks for posting this. I had a look at Amazon and they have the Kindle versions of the volumes for cheaper than Comixology's sale at the moment while the single issues are the same price.

    Examples:

    Lazarus Vol 1:
    Comixology - $4.99
    Amazon.com - $3.19

East of West Vol 1 / Vol 2:
    Comixology - $4.99 / $7.99
    Amazon.com - $3.99 / $6.39

    Saga Vol 1 / Vol 2 / Vol 3
    Comixology - $4.99 / $6.99 / $7.99
    Amazon.com - $3.99 / $5.59 / $6.39

    • have you bought digital comics from amazon before? i'm curious as to whether the comics will be as easy to read on the kindle app as compared to the Comixology app which lets you read by panel instead of by page, which is an awesome feature for devices with limited real estate

      • I've bought a couple during sales but haven't gotten around to reading them yet. I'm actually trying to load one up now to see what it's like but the android kindle app is being flakey and annoying. Not looking good so far!

        • it bothers me that the volumes cost more than the sum of its individual issues on comixology. even on amazon, vol.3 is a bit more than the total of the six issues in it :/

          y dey do dis

    • Without guided view, I would still lean toward comixology, but that is personal preference. Im not a fan of digital comics on other apps. I tried to enjoy marvel unlimited, but it is much more cumbersome, and my limited experience with Kindle (for Android) is the same.
