  • does anyone know what the contractor series for their hdmi cables actually mean?

I'm guessing its their midrange between value and premium.

    • I think that they are actually the 'cheaper' cables of the lot. From what I can see the 'Value' range is actually the mid-range between the standard and premium cables.

I would question whether there's any difference between the cheaper Value standard & premium HDMI cabes. Unless of course it has Anti Virus capabilities, then it's worth about $200 extra.

        • Generally the premium cables are more resilient, for example the cable material is much better quality so any movement prevents the cable from deteriorating and breaking.

Premium cables are also better at transmitting the signal over longer distances, the distance it starts to become noticeable is 15m.

I've always found Jamell's to be fairly expensive for HDMI cables, even still with the 20% off. Selby are much better priced and have never had an issue with any of their cables (I have at least 10).

Free shipping as well, winner! Thank you OP

  • This is a good deal.

Not a lot I need right now sadly, but 20% off already decent prices is good in my books.
Just picked up a 5m Cat6 cable to replace my massively long Cat5 I'm currently using for my PC.

  • The Premium HDMI cables look exactly the same as those I bought from Aldi for $7 (2 metre)!
