Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) Return ex Melbourne $462 with Jetstar

500

Found this great fare to Ho Chi Minh City from Melbourne. Unfortunately, fares for flights departing other cities aren't quite as attractive on this occasion.

For this fare: Depart 28/07 Return 06/08 Melbourne but there are plenty at this price for flights in August, October & November. Just search for your preferred dates.

Here's a screenshot of the deal

I'm unsure when this offer ends. Good luck.

fchis, I'm addicted to posting deals. If they happen to get on the front page, awesome!! as more people will benefit! Is that such a bad thing?

        • Not at all. most ozbr members will do the same.

With all due respect Mikeologos, the sale you mention says from $247:

Yet I managed to find it for $243:

Only $4 you say, but this is Ozbargain right?

      Have a lovely evening.

I see, my apologies for this inconvenience. These fares must be from a completely different sale, one that is not advertised on the Jetstar website. Thank you for your time and effort put into posting all posting these different, unique deals. I will take my $4 saving and buy some ice cream to eat onboard.

        Happy Easter.

That's right,TA. For some people, $4 means a lot and could be the difference between having a meal or getting hungry. You could get some Chicken McBites or Chicken Mayo burger from Macca's loose change menu.
Keep posting the bargains, I enjoy them very much.

      Where did he go?
His last post was 1 hour before this one.

      • That's the point. One hour is much too long.

Maybe we should have an ozb holiday? All stay in the cheapest hotel and see how much we can possibly save while we're there, the person who does the most activities/purchases and spends the least amount of money wins? :D

as well buying technology in aus to take with us to get the GST thing back and the duty free booze on the way back.

  • then get your return ticket for paris via Qatar air for an extra $850.

  • If you have included 30kgs checked bag, you will not get at this price. You must pay $15 per kg and there is no meal.

  • Great price, when is monsoon season starting again?

    • Having just left Vietnam during the "welcome" to the wet season I'm a little skeptical about the monsoon season that's about to start being all that rewarding (especially by the time it's July in full swing). But depending on your activities you may get lucky. I slipped and grazed my arms :) I don't know why they use slippery tiles literally everywhere in a wet country?!

The only benefit I could think of is that if you bother with the return trip to the north (e.g. Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Sa Pa and surrounds) the weather will be warmer - perfect right now but way too hot and/or wet by July. I'm also unsure if/how long the sea water cleanliness is affected after a good rain (or is this just a Sydney thing).

The areas around Ho Chi Minh is tropical so maybe you'd only get the typical heavy afternoon rains? I suppose you'd avoid the beaches on the central coast after August or so (even July?) when typhoons typically hit. Personally I'd go now (being low season some things are a little more competitive so you'll save ~$50 all up anyway :)).
