  • Some great games there - far cry 3 and splinter cell blacklist both good buys if you haven't played them.

  • I want to get Splinter Cell Double Agent, Settlers 7 & Beyond Good and Evil. I can see they are on steam but on GMG they are listed as other DRM. Any thoughts on how to check whether they could be bought and then redeemed on steam?

Other DRM usually means you have to use their own downloading service. No steam keys unfortunately.
*Edit. Yep, I checked down lower on the page and it says "Capsule Client : This title requires Capsule to play." So you'll be using their service. If you want something awesome with a steam key, Dark Messiah: Might & Magic is pretty damn awesome for two dollars!

    • I've bought Settlers 7 and it activates on uplay..

      • Makes sense. The description for Settlers 7 mentions it's playable from uPlay.

I prefer DRM like Steam or uPlay and wanted Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood. But the description doesn't mention Steam or uPlay. Just Capsule. Because GMG just told me it's playable from uPlay I recommended asking GMG if the game is playable from your DRM of choice when the DRM is just Capsule.

  • Hmm, anyone know how DLC works with Ghost Recon: Future Soldier? I've got it on Steam, which launches it through Uplay (ridiculous, I know!) but the DLC for it on GMG doesn't say it uses Steam or Uplay? So, would it not work for my copy?

Hate all this bloody proprietary client/DRM shit. Was so much easier when you just bought the bloody thing physically.

  • Rocksmith 2014 for US$24 - just need to get a cable.

Rocksmith 1 for US$6 is good if you want to pick that up for the additional songs (plus the upgrade fee to use them)

  • Voucher didn't work, used their 10% voucher listed on their website

    • I had trouble with it when I copied it from here. Then I copied it from another site and it worked. Try it again

    • Sometimes if you copy and paste a code into GMG you need to add another character on the end then delete it (or modify it in some way). It just needs to register that you 'typed' the code in.

      • That makes sense, cos the green tick box on the right doesn't change until that happens I think.

  • Bought From Dust (http://www.greenmangaming.com/s/au/en/pc/games/indie/from-du…) for $3
    Cheapest it's ever been.
    It's a Uplay title though.

  • I Am Alive (http://www.greenmangaming.com/s/au/en/pc/games/adventure/i-a…) for $3 too! Cheapest it's been.
    Finding some gems!

    • Apparently, I Am Alive is trash.

      • I've paid way more than $3 for shit games. So good time to take that risk.

      • +1

I wouldn't say its trash. It's actually not a bad game (as in story, gameplay/mechanics, graphics, sound, etc wise) but it's really short and doesn't have an ending or payoff what it sets up.

It's like they made one quarter or one third of the game and then ran out of money (or the publisher pulled the plug?) and went "Bugger it. Lets just release what we've got and call it a day".

I was hoping they'd release the rest of the game in episodes or as DLC… but alas, no dice.
