  • very good price!, cheaper then imports

  • hmm worth upgrading from nex-6…?

    • +2

If I was you, probably not, however worth upgrading to A7/A7R from NEX 6.

    • +1

The big difference I have noticed is the α6000's improved AF system.
Compared to the NEX-6, the number of phase-detect points has increased from 99 to 179 and the coverage area has increased from around 50% of the frame to around 92% - in conjunction with "the world's fasted autofocus" it improves the camera's ability to track moving subjects in stills and video.

And there is also a big bump in megapixels with somewhat better low light performance…

But ultimately it's the focus that attracts me - most people aren't going to immediately see the lower megapixels in the NEX-6, but almost everybody will notice a badly focused picture ;-)

Another point to consider is that some people don't like the NEX-6's menu system - the α6000 offers the other Sony menu system as an alternative…

There is an interesting video that shows the AF off quite well :-)

This price compares favourably with the grey imports too - with a TRS refund the AU version would actually work out cheaper :-)

  • this looks good, but I am searching for Sony Nex 5T twin lens kit, can someone advise from where I can get it for a good price

wonder if they going to do any bundles for this camera with more lens. I remember the NEX6 at one time that had a bundle for 3 lens.
