Just found this on Huxtaburger's facebook page

  • You need to download the app.
  • You need to add a credit card to the app in order to pay a tab.
  • Once you have done that, you need to click on Huxtaburger in the listings and add the code above where it asks for voucher.
  • You will then have $10 to spend at Huxtaburger so you don't need to get a burger. You could get a milkshake or whatever. Anything over $10 will be charged to your credit card.
  • Every time you open up a tab, a $25 authorization will be put on your credit card. It's not a charge, simply an authorization.

Bonus, once you have closed your first tab, they will email you a $40 Uber voucher (new users, not a referral code).

    Installed the app and tried to select huxtaburger but needs an active credit card for that purpose. Not sure if I am ready to do that.

    I was just going to post this. There are a few things you need to know which I'll add to the post.

          Huxtaburger, its mentioned if you accept their Facebook offer. Not sure about the Uber code as its only applicable to new accounts.'

          EDIT: Actually their new offer says May 29.

          Nope. I get an error that says code is only for new users. So basically same thing as Uber, you can only use 1 promotion code per account.

          So if you prefer to use one of the other codes instead of Huxtaburger perhaps try them as that better value. The Beaufort is a good pick.

        Not sure what that means. You add the credit card within the Android app.

        I'm not sure how likely I would be to use the app when eating as its generally 1 transaction. However going out for drinks where there are multiple transactions, this would be very useful.

          Many android apps have the option to pay via the app for subscriptions or downloads using Google Wallet (where you can register your credit card). However, Telstra prepaid allows you to pay via carrier billing from your phone credit up to about $20 per transaction. I pay for my Google Play All Music Access subscription and various other things this way.
          It would be bloody cool if I could pay for my dining/drinking too!

      It didn't work for me when I went there as the staff @ the Collingwood Huxta didn't know what to do and they did have other people pop in for burgers via the app too. They did however give me the email and number of the app developer, Ben, which they did for the others too…

      He called me back and explained how it works, and said he'd call the Collingwood store and tell the staff, apparently their manager was on break and probably didn't tell them.

      tl;dr - Main Huxtaburger store in collingwood didn't know what to do. Spoke to app developer and he called them to get it sorted. ALL FIXED.

        What was the issue?

        Yesterday, it said that Huxtaburger Collingwood was closed (it wasn't). Tried again later but I couldn't get the voucher to show up on my tab. Adding the voucher again said that it had already been entered. So I opened a tab, didn't see it, then closed the tab. Tried again, adding voucher got an error that the voucher had already been added. At this point, I tweeted them and they manually added the voucher into my account. This was part of the reason I was waiting to post after trying today.

        Anyway, their support on Twitter are quite fast to respond.

          The issue was the staff didn't know what to do.

          I already managed to log in put cc details and got things ready. I just wasn't sure and when I went in I asked so how do i do this?
          They were like… "We have no idea, someone came for that too before, but we didn't know we were given this try giving them a call."

          Anyways, will attempt to get a burger tomorrow. =)
          Have to agree with you that they're fast to respond. Props to Ben from Aston Club.
