        a 3 tonne truck (from a quick look i had) costs $80 for a day so I'm not sure if you have in mind to rent a small… Lamborghini truck

          Maybe for a weekday special, add ~$25 insurance for a ~$550 excess (will vary), ~$40 in fuel and best case you're looking at $150 for the day and you have to do all the heavy lifting and driving a truck that a lot of people aren't comfortable with. Also on a weekend you are looking at closer to $200 for the base rental rate.

          thanks for proving my point stinx2001, so it actually DOESN'T cost more to rent a small truck for a day! Also you didn't take in consideration that the truck is for 1 day and not 2 hours, plus no areas are excluded!

          Well I guess I was half agreeing with you. For that extra you are removing a lot of the risk involved with driving a truck yourself. Also for that price you would have to do it on a weekday and that potentially costs you a day of wages. But yes if you are happy to do the work yourself, on a weekday, you can potentially save yourself $50.

          To be honest I doubt they could do it in 2 hours. Sounds more like a 3-4 hour job to be honest.

        I agree, this isn't really that expensive at all nor would I classify this as spam. This is way cheaper than man with a van or any other company like that.

        Also, not everyone has the ability to drive a truck through age or skill.

    Regardless unless you're a hoarder, a 2 bedroom house being moved within 10km is probably going to work out to be 1.5 hours or less. So there are probably better 2 man with a van vendors.

    This looks like an ad to me; not a deal.

      they have already excluded busy areas, so. I don't think they are going to accept jobs longer than 1,5-2 hours anyway and their standard $70/hour price sounds a better deal :P

    When we moved from a 2 bedroom unit, using the same picture for the truck, they had to do 2 trips. We had a lot of stuff. Obviously you can rent but if you can't get help in carrying out the heavy things then this would be better.

      I had the same issue with heavy items, fridge, washing machine, etc. Do you have any recommendations? I can find a lot of them on Gumtree but you know.
