This sounds like a SCAM.
I called them and spoke to a rep from Williams-Somona USA. Apparently it's a 60 yr old Brick and Mortar establishment. Breville is an Australian company so don't know why it would take 90 days to get stock, seems odd to me. I'll wait my 45 days? and file a chargeback.
W&S is a high class reputable company in the USA didn't know they had a AUS site or location (apparently Sydney).

I would normally look at the price before I commit to buy something rather than close my eyes click 'pay now' and wait to see what they charge to the credit card.

Not strange at all, everybody need to see the sub total before submit payment. No one does the other way round unless they're a billionaire.

Probably did have some in stock at the time, did you note what it was saying on delivery time when you ordered?
Some places will include a "free" delivery charge or other promo discounts in the order confirmation but not charge you for them.
Guess you'll have to wait, but you can probably dispute the delivery charge if the did add it on.

You don't need to buy it now. Just wait until those major retailers are sale then you place your order. Tax time is coming up, so you should wait for mid year sales.

Seems like the deal's expired now since I tried the SAVE20 coupon and it doesn't work anymore for this unit.
Like knackers, my payment history and totals on the website both show $263.96 delivered, however, the confirmation email I received seemed to included a $12.95 shipping charge (to a total of $276.91). This is likely a bug in their email system as I've bought from W&S AU before with an incorrect email total but still getting charged the right amount on my CC.
Didn't realise there was a "Available on 31/7/2014 Status". When I bought it I only saw an "In Stock". It's currently "Available on 1/8/2014" so it could mean that their have some algorithm which automatically moves the date as more units are bought.
They appear to have changed the order history to reflect a new total of $329. My credit card is yet to be charged, I hope they're not thinking of pushing the sale through with this new total. Glad I took screen shots.

It hasn't yet popped up on my credit card transaction list but it appears that they have a pending charge of $276.91 on the go. I was able to deduce this by subtracting my available funds from my credit limit.
