I bought one of these 18 months ago for around $500 and couldn't be happier - it's brilliant, very sturdy and work extremely well. According to the Breville page it's recommended by Choice (ha!) and used by MKR (double ha!).

So, I was pretty impressed when I noticed they were out on the Myer website for $99.95! I've linked the cranberry colour in the post, but they also have sherbet, silver and black

Interestingly they also have the cheaper non-pro model for $99.95 (RRP $349) but don't know why you'd get that.

Delivery is $9.95, but they also have free delivery for orders over $100, so if you buy something small to push over the $100 mark you'll get an even better bargain. I bought a set of 6 champagne glasses (was $29) which were on special for $10, but then had a 30% extra discount on them applied - $7. At least I'll then have something to celebrate my bargain with!

    Just bought the Kenwood listed as $99.95, but found that when I got to the paymetn confirmation page, they'd charged $600! I took a screenshot of the $99.95 price listing. Not sure if I'll have to cancel but, either way, I'm not paying full price.

    Anyone had experience with Myer in this sort of thing?

      Same thing happened to me with the Breville. I clicked the pay by credit card button, punched in my numbers and then came back to a page saying "congrats we've just charged you $489!".

      Rediculous to change the price WHILE you are putting in your credit card details.

      Just had the same issue! How annoying.

      I was on the phone with someone from their call centre, who said that it was a computer error and they most likely won't honor it. But I would still try..

      I forgot to take a screenshot - Dammit!!

    OK, so I got the email. They've only deducted $109.90 (being the listed price + delivery), with the remaing $495 being 'balance amount'. Not sure how this plays out - do they debit the remaining when they deliver? If so, will this make it easier for me to get it for the original amount (i.e. receive it, open it, use it, then dispute price with website screenshot)?

    That's a very big mistake on their behalf.

      In This day and age why are Online stores as large as Myer still having Price mistake issues? is it faulty code or human error? Either way you think they'd check the price page after adjusting it.

        Most likely data entry error and they put it in the wrong column. Even with the computer popping up a screen asking the human to confirm that is correct, people tend to just click ok ok ok without reading after a while.

    Your screenshots wont help. MYER will issue an apology for the error and refund all of your payments, they would never absorb this sort of loss. If you paid $600, then call up and cancel your error before its processed.

        Once a company takes your money they are legally required to fufill that order or there are some other ways around it if they oversold but they still end with the consumer getting the item they ordered.

        Not true, there are T&C's for the site. This type of thing has happened before, people didnt get their stuff no matter how much they complained.

          T&C can't over rule Consumer rights. Thats why all stores must give consumers one year warranties. They can't just put up a sign that states no warranties it's against the law.

          Call the ACCC if you don't believe me.
          This has nothing to do with warranties. You can bet Myers legal team know what how to word their T&C's. Your order is an offer, they say they can refuse your offer at any time.

          BTW you are not correct about 12 month warranty. THere is no timeline specified by law.

          As i said, this has happened before. People complained to the ACCC and got nowhere.

          Yes they are allowed to revoke their offer since this was an error and has been noticed and withdrawn quite quickly.

          This is no different to you being at the local fruit and veg grocer and the person at the checkout typing in $1 instead of $10 and you running out really quickly while the staff yells at you to come back.
