I have tried these few from Amazon they dont match the quality Apple have, plus u can always change it locally if any fault occurs, just goto Apple store n they change it for u

Surely Apple should've been able to come out with a USB 3.0 to Gigabit Ethernet version by now. Third parties have them, but requires extra drivers. Sometimes Apple can be such a disappointment.
Thunderbolt is a superior interface than usb 3. All macs that have usb 3 have a thunderbolt connection so why the disappointment?
USB ports are premium on macs so utilising a thunderbolt port instead is a plus isn't it ?
No issue on a MacBook Pro where they have two. Can be for an Air where there's only one Thunderbolt port, which is also doubles for external video.
Remember using this in my osx86 days.

I tried a similar one usb to ethernet cord and it said my macbook was not compatible. I have a 2013 rmbp so I couldn't understand why it did not work so I took it back and got a refund.
