Samsung Galaxy S5 (Octa-core) is the 8-core processor variant of Samsung's next-generation 2014 flagship smartphone Galaxy S5. This variant comes with two built-in Quad-core units instead of one Quad-core application processor available on the originally released Galaxy S5. It essentially means that the handset packs the power of eight cores and delivers a stunningly superior and faster performance. The CPU is a combination of one 1.9GHz Quad-core Cortex A-15 processor and another 1.3GHz Quad-core Cortex A-7 processor. The processors are housed on Samsung's Exynos 5 Octa 5422 chipset.

    Not here, I own a M8 and still using old Vaya Plan which only supports 3G and I am happy with it.

      Most ozb just see 4G as a way to more quickly siphon the wallet. The bits that get delivered don't care that they arrive 300%faster™

        The other consideration is the 4G version will support the 700Mhz LTE band that the major telcos will start using from early 2015. The 700Mhz band will give better coverage especially in-building coverage.

  it is not clear that the Octa-core Exynos 5422 is better than the Quad core Snapdragon 801, although on paper it looks significantly better than previous Exynos.

  If it neither has 4G nor a better processor (in real terms, prob the Exynos can solve Pi faster) than this is not a bargain, just a handset for the international (India?) market.

    as far as i know, only mediatek made true octa core for smartphone. samsung claim its chip octa-core is kind of misleading.
