Together this makes the price $88.60 (normally $198 at JB HI FI, or $179 at MSY).

Pay with ING Card, save an additional 5%. Officeworks don't stock this model so no price match there.

I thought the product was a bit over the top with the built-in lullabies, but I think it will make a great present for a family member.

  • sounds like a deal. anyone got feedback on this model? can't really find anything on google.

  • I've got a suite of D-Link cameras and use the MyDLink app/etc and it's great, so based on that, I can only assume this one would be decent. I'm tempted to pick one up too!

  • I have previously bought the el-cheapo D-Link DCS-930L from MSY for $39 and have been happy with its performance for checking in on our animals with the MyDLink App. I would expect this one to be better than that, especially for baby monitoring which it is designed for.

There are some reviews here http://www.amazon.co.uk/D-Link-DCS-825L-Wi-Fi-Monitor-Camera…

  • I have the 930 and found it perfect for when you just want something to check on a live feed eg camera pointed at front door. I picked up the baby camera today and note it's quite large but haven't set up yet. Looks very colourful. Appears to have similar functionality to 942.

  • I got one, thanks OP!!

Quick review: camera functionality is quite temperamental with the mydlink Baby Monitor.
It can take a few tries for the camera feed to appear.
2 way speaker isn't very reliable, it does work though.
    Lullabies work fine.
    Off site viewing works fine.

It functions as a whole, just everything doesn't always work straight away.
Patience is required with this device.

Overall, for $80 odd (including cashback) it's worth it as an actual baby camera otherwise I would probably recommend a dedicated baby camera/monitor combo.

    • Agreed. The 2 way speaker seems to lag and I'm never really sure if my voice got transmitted. It can sometimes cease working even though it says service started.

That being said, on the whole very happy with it. Quality of feed is decent, the iPhone app is good (but remember to disable background audio otherwise it stays connected non-stop soaking up bandwidth and battery!).
