15.6" Inch Laptop Screen Protector Matte or Glossy for $7.25 - $7.75 FREE SHIPPING

50

Hi everyone,

I'm a top rated ebay seller offering 15.6" laptop screen protectors for sale. Both Matte and Glossy versions are available. I personally have one of these installed on my Acer Aspire V5-571G and the matte finish really helps with outdoor glare. I pack very well by putting in a rigid piece of cardboard to deter postal bending. I also write "Do Not Bend" on orders to prevent posties carelessly shoving the item into a postbox.

Free shipping on all orders.

Is this the cheap kind of matte that makes the screen look like a rainbow? I can't imagine $7.75 being the absolute best quality :P

    • +1

Hi, thanks for the question. I know the effect you're talking about as I have that rainbow grain sort of effect on my phone with a matte screen protector.

My laptop doesn't have that effect to it with the screen protector applied. However of course the trade off with any matte screen protector is a slight loss of clarity, which is the benefit of picking the glossy screen protector.

However matte is much more effective against reducing glare as well as hiding fingerprints if you happen to use a touchscreen 15.6" laptop.

Thanks for the info. I realised shortly after posting that it's for 15.6" only, not 13.3", so I can't really buy one but thanks for the deal nonetheless.

        • Not a problem :)

      • So is this screen protector designed for touchscreens only?

        • Hi there,

It's designed for 15.6" laptops with a 16:9 aspect ratio. This means the dimensions are 345 mm by 194 mm.

Item is not exclusively for touchscreens, as you may want to preserve the condition of your screen or want to reduce the glare in natural light with a matte protector.

  • Do you do privacy screens? Those ones that can be put on and off (not stuck to screen like a protector).

    • Sorry I don't have any privacy screens for sale. However if there is considerable interest, I may be able to get stock.

      • +2

I guess people won't respond with interest unless you have a price to offer?

        • Agreeeeed

        • +1

True, but how can they offer a price unless they have a gauge of how many people may be interested in buying. If 2 people show interest the price will be higher than if 100 people show interest.
It will enable them to reduce the risk in buying more stock to get a cheaper price to offer a cheaper price.

A 15.6" privacy screen actually sounds like a good idea. Register an interest from me.

This is OZbargain, put the right price and everyone comes streaming through lol.

        • Thanks for the replies. I'll have a look out for stock a post again. To be honest I wasn't sure about how many people preferred privacy screens over screen protectors.

        • To me it's not so much about price, rather about how many people actually use privacy screen protectors or feel the need for one.

        • Privacy screen would be great for the extra paranoid such as myself. I use my laptop quite frequently in public and want to prevent prying eyes. +1

It always makes me laugh when you see certain people with a certain low budget core i3/celeron laptop that is atleast 6 months old and they still haven't peeled off the manufacturer's screen plastic(packaging).
I guess they are thinking they can sell their laptop in 10 years time and get their whopping $500 back on their 'investment'.

    • Not really funny "wolfenator87." Each to their own, not everyone has a budget, or wants to buy a $1000 to $2000 latest whiz bang laptop every two years ( probably to use for basic computing anyway ). Also I think that you are missing the point or a bit off topic here as this item listed is a screen protector for touchscreen equipped laptops.

      • I'm using a $150 2nd hand 5 yr old laptop so get off your high horse. My point was that the factory screen protector is for packaging purposes only, it is not designed for long term usage!

    When does this deal expire?

    • The listing expires in 4 days

  • Hi rep, do you have 15" for Macbook Pro? cheers

  • Seriously though, what are you going to protect a laptop screen from? On mobile phones its excessive because of the gorilla glass, but on a laptop? Maybe if you leave it open in your pocket with your keys. Oh wait.

    • +1

Bear in mind that 15.6" touchscreen laptops are becoming quite common nowadays. So for those who want to protect against fingerprints and scratches this is what you're protecting against.

Also as I mentioned, matte screen protectors are used to reduce glare. Nowadays most new laptops sell glossy screens rather than matte screens which have quite terrible viewing angles in natural light.

You know finger prints? They wipe off.

And how exactly are you going to scratch a laptop screen? I guess if you drag it behind your car when it is open, it could happen.

        • +1

There are any number of situations which you could scratch a screen…

Not everyone wants to clean their laptop screen for oily finger prints

Also as above they reduce glare.

        • Name one situation.

If you don't want to have oily finger prints on your laptop screen I suggest two solutions.

          1. Don't oil your hands, that's just weird

          2. Don't touch your screen.

If you are worried about glare, don't use it outside? Or if you must, buy a laptop with a matt screen, which is an option on most.

        • +2

E.g. Closing the screen quickly so that the keys contact the screen. Do you notice that even the screen protectors on your phone get scratched over time with use? Even if they're placed in their own pocket?

You do know that your skin has natural oils which is how you leave fingerprints in the first place…

Not everyone wants to make selecting a matte screen their primary factor when picking a laptop.

Honestly if you have no use for this item, I don't know why you are being so pedantic about how you have no use for it and everyone should think like you.

        • +1

Well put again rep. I could not have said it better myself. Lot's of "knockers around" who can not think outside their own small narrow mind. I have bought quite a few laptops and tablets, and rarely offered a choice of a matte option on my selections. Unless you go upmarket, this is even rare. I have just ordered a matte screen protector from you, and look forward to getting it applied ( will try your method, thanks for tip ( do not want to stuff my only piece up )) to my Acer V5-571P touch screen hard earned and well cared for pride and joy :-)

        • I appreciate the support! Please let me know how it goes and if I can offer any after sales support.

        • These are great for the pedantic. I fit into that category. DW about him, they will sell themselves.
