    • OP already stated that this bundle does not include kinect.

If DSE has the 10% off codes regularly for the normal bundle, this isn't really a deal.

hardly a deal. Its not really even a discount. its a desperate move to drop the price so the xbone seems cheaper.

PS4 is still a better deal (specs, psn, resogun).

    • +3

I have to agree with you about it not being a deal, also agree that the PS4 is better (in my perspective, I don't have one but plan on getting one once I clear my Nintendo and 360 backlog) because of the exclusives Sony has. Also I was turned off by the Xbox as soon as they announced the (now overturned) DRM policy, since then they've just been changing things continually to try and win support and its not working for me.

    • Resogun is gone from PS Plus :(. By the time I got my PS4 I already missed out Contrast, Resogun and Don't Starve :(

how is a standard new price a deal? Stop negging me.

    • Because it also comes with a game ?

      • I believe the regular bundle comes with Forza 5 as well now.

    • +1

I think the neg is because you said PS4 is a better deal as in price point of view, PS4 is $550 without game (yes there is a bundle for $550 with game now i think) while Xbox One new bundle is $499 with game.

Bad move by Microsoft, kinect should be bundled.
If it wasn't for that piece, the hardware would have been at least 30 percent more powerful,
So they ruin their own initial plans again, how wonderful.

And by the way, pan has to paid now in ps4 era, it ain't much better than Xbl.

Title is wrong. Xbox One comes with Kinect. The SKU that comes without Kinect must have a different name, so until it's official you should include NO KINECT in title.

    • Why would it have a different name? Since when has a change of bundled accessories resulted in a consoles name changing?

      • -1

It's not a bundled accessory. It's the actual console and a required part of the 'Xbox One console' SKU. It only comes in 500GB - if/when different HDD sizes get released, they will be called 'Xbox One 1000GB console' etc.

Just like a controller is standard-issue for every console, a Kinect is currently standard-issue for the Xbox One.

        • The title says 'Xbox One Console', which is what you are getting. Kinect is still an accessory, required or not. It's still an 'Xbox One' however.

The description notes Kinect is missing anyway from this version.

Then you don't know what an SKU is then. Not attacking you, but that's how it is.

There was only one console before: Xbox One console.

Now, there's one WITH kinect, and one WITHOUT. There is no longer a 'Xbox one console', as there is a model (SKU) that comes with it in the pack. So it'll either me 'Xbox One with Kinect' or something similar.

Just like there is no such thing as 'Toyota Camry with leather seats and GPS and touch screen and automatic headlight sensors and reversing camera". It's a "Toyota Camry Altise", or whatever.

Anyways, back to my point: since the SKU (read: model name) hasn't officially been released, these things need to be mentioned in the title, as it's a completely different product.

        • I understand what an SKU is, I just don't think the SKU necessarily has to be in the title when the description covers the details. Anyway it's not that big a deal and to be honest maybe it'd help to have that in the title since I hadn't seen the news of a Kinect Free release at the time I saw this, although the description also cleared that up.

Honestly, the bigger debate would be whether this is a deal to begin with. It looks like a retail price….JB has the same thing going at http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/game/consoles/xbox-one-500gb-…

Yeah I don't think it's a deal either. As for the being pedantic about title .. we all know people don't read the description. :)

Currently with the Dick Smith deal you get Kinect and Titanfall for $40 more then this price. No way a bargain.
