Libbey Beer Tasting Glass Set (4 Different Glasses) - Dan Murphys - $6.99 + Shipping

1030

Similar sets (with two more glasses) run between $50 and $60. Using some crazy hard maths, that gives us $8.33 (recurring of course) per glass and $10 per glass respectively.

Which means this set provided by Dan Murphys should have an RRP of $33.33 and $40. So $7 is really a damn good bargain!

I got $7 shipping with 5 sets - which will be distributed to friends that also love fine beer.

Amazon gives the glasses a rating of 4.6/5!

Do these glasses add anything to the beer or is it just a visual thing?

    • Beer (just like wine) certainly tastes different out of different containers - most obvious is drinking from a glass rather than straight from the bottle, but the differences between glasses can be quite distinctive.

That said, though, I don't know which style of beer you would use what glass for. Hoping someone knowledgeable can give us some edumacation.

Don't know about glasses vs glasses, but the type of dish washing liquid used may affect the amount of bubbles you get, so maybe more frothy can taste smoother?

        • you sir, are a scholar and a gentleman.

For those who missed out, not sure how gooder deal this is, but for $4.90 for 6 glasses maybe worth a shot possibly? https://www.danmurphys.com.au/product/DM_757991/keller-beer-…

The price tag on the shelf at Dan Murphys had these at $9.90 so not a big saving, there were some more left on the shelf at Malvern Vic.

    • It's a 30% saving.

Lol! Shouldn't have posted here on OzBargain about it - just got a call saying the store that was going to provide the glasses to me have had them all smashed (though that sounds like a poxxy excuse) and there are none left in Australia.

    • I just got a similar call.

The first time I tried ordering, the site said they were sold out (which I posted above), then I tried again 10 minutes later and managed to order 2. I just now got a call saying they had oversold the set, and they wouldn't be able to fulfill the order. No BS excuse about them all being smashed though, yikes.

      • Yeah. Terrible excuse, wish they just said they oversold.

I ordered the night before I put it on OzBargain too!

    • +2

      had them all smashed

They hired somebody to smash them all because that was cheaper than delivering them all to OZbargainers?

  • My order is ready for pickup, will go get them tonight. For some reason stores around me (3046) wouldn't deliver. Thanks OP

  • Just got a call cancelling my order saying they'll refund me.
    They oversold

    • ah crap - I expect I'll be getting a call soon….lol…phone just rang and went to VM - that was probably them….

  • Thanks op- great quality set

    • +1

      Goes even better w beer

  • Picked mine up yesterday…they made sure none were smashed before handing them over.
