Generic Battery for GoPro HERO 3/3+ $4.99 (+Shipping) @ Cameras Direct

31

Regular price is $24.95.
Not sure how long these generic batteries will last; but currently at 1/10 the price of official batteries, I'm prepared to take a chance. They're 3.7V 1300mAh 4.8Wh (seems better than the one that came with my GoPro 3+, which is a 3.7V 1180mAh 4.37Wh).
Shipping is $14.99 which kind of kills it. So you may want to grab a few! :-)
Note the page states "Stock Inbound 3-10 Business Days for Dispatch" - the wait might be even longer if it gets OzBargained.

The $1 Micro HDMI Cable may also be of interest (regular price is $12.95).

  • Any discounts on shipping? CDFREE is not working.

    • Sorry, I couldn't find any working coupons.

  • Feel like this may be a better option?
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/1600mAh-Battery-AHDBT-301-201-3-7…

$7 so more expensive, but since free shipping applies, way better deal in total unless you're ordering a stack.

1600mAh compared to this one which only has 1300, plus free shipping!

    • I wonder what the real mAh rating for all these cells are. I'm very certain they're not 1300 or 1600.

I probably should have mentioned that I ordered 10 to split the cost of shipping between friends. Maybe people want to do an OzBargain group buy? :-P
They offer local pickup for free if you're in the Gold Coast.
Weird that both the advertised mAh and Wh are still higher than the official battery. I'm guessing they probably won't last the same number of charge cycles as the official batteries, which is why I grabbed a few.

      • Its a good company. Ive bought a bunch of stuff from them pickup (when im visiting the gold coast).

    • I have this exact battery. I get 20 mins out of it recording 1080@48FPS. Seller said it might have been faulty but i suspect they are just rubbish in general.

  • Shipping almost makes it pointless.

  • Yea awesome price but shipping makes not so awesome

    $14.97 for postage ???

should not be even published on Ozbargain.

    • Ok fair enough I'll expire the deal. Cheers.

Hey even though it was not so great (due to shipping) I appreciate you taking the time to put it up.

    @Muncan

    thanks for the listing

re Sidor - we look forward to putting all our courier business to your new freight company = free of course. Please let us know when you are offering that service.

    • hehe nice reply :)

$15 does seem higher than it could be though

      • Rep, it would be sweet if you could offer a better postage deal for these. Maybe a coupon code? Of course you'd have to make sure my order is shipped first :-P

Amazon is charging $10 for delivering a bag from the US while youre charging $20 within Australia.. Doesn't make sense!!

      • I think that's more the courier's fault than the seller.
If the seller shipped tens of millions of items a year like Amazon, I'm sure they'd be able to negotiate better prices too. :)

That said, I'm sure the seller could offer cheaper shipping via AusPost and small padded envelopes. It might not be worth their time though.
