Looks like it's going to be the final sale from Lenovo for this financial year as the expiry date of this coupon code is 30 June. Coupon code EOFY2014, and you will get the following discount:

Product Min Spend Discount
ThinkPad $599 5%
ThinkPad $700 10%
ThinkPad $1,300 15%
ThinkPad $2,000 20%

ThinkCentre $2,000 20%
ThinkStation $0 10%

ThinkStation $3,200 30%
ThinkServer $0 10%
ThinkServer $1,700 15%
ThinkServer $2,400 20%

i.e. exactly the same as Easter sale. There is also quite a long list of exclusions:

  • Offer excludes: Windows 7 Professional, Windows 8 Pro & Windows 8.1 Pro configured systems.
  • Offer excludes ThinkPad Edge E531, E540, IdeaPad Yoga 2 Pro, Yoga 11s laptops, ThinkCentre E93z, E73z AIO desktops, ThinkPad 8 tablet, all Android Tablets (IdeaTab S6000, Yoga Tablet 8, Yoga Tablet 10), X230 Tablet clearance laptop, ThinkPad Tablet 10 and ThinkPad 11e laptop.

Their X and T series ThinkPad might still seem over-priced for those who don't need "business grade laptops". E540 is not included in the sale. You can however get a ThinkPad EDGE E440 with 14" 900P touch display, i5-4200M, 4GB RAM, 500GB HDD and GeForce GT 740M for $899 delivered.

    Still feeling the Lenovo pain.

    i dont understand…
how can the exclusions include all
Windows 7 Professional, Windows 8 Pro & Windows 8.1 Pro configured systems.

what else do they offer besides those?

      linux :)

Yes it is a bit discrimination against us "professionals". All the systems are pre-configured with just Windows 8.1 (non-Pro). Once you switch to Windows 8.1 Pro that discount code no longer works.

Last i5 Lenovo I bought was so slow. Don't know what sort of HD they used.

  • Lest we forget

  • The $899 laptop mentioned seems tempting …

  • Purchased a laptop off them on 20 May, with eta shipment date of 28 May.

I noticed that the status of my order on their website was "released to manufacturing", and it had been this status for the last week.

So I called Lenovo up today and they told me that their eta shipment date at the time of odering is just an estimate. I told Lenovo that this is not correct nor fair, as I chose Lenovo because their quoted availability was faster than other laptop vendors such as Dell. I asked the lady to chase it up for me.

She got back and to me told me that it will not be shipped for another two weeks as their china factory is running behind schedule due to demand. Once it is shipped from china, there is then despatch time to get from Sydney factory to the customer.

I then requested to cancel my order, which they did not object to.

  • ok i'll toss in a bit of support

if you are after a Lenovo lappie/ultrabook this is genuine saving - maybe not a screaming bargain but definitely time to push the button if you were thinking of a Lenovo

e.g. ultrabook with active digitiser (for taking precise notes using stylus) then the ThinkPad Yoga is a good choice from not many choices on market. I bought one on a recent Lenovo promo for $1599 and it is now $1486 (RRP $1749)

    • ultrabook with active digitiser

I think the upcoming Microsoft Surface Pro 3 would also be a good candidate. However, ultrabook with active digitiser AND a good keyboard would be hard to find.
