Use Your $30 Voucher before 4pm Today. from Wine Market Min $55 spend

DONTTELL

got this email just now, $30 off when order $55 more on wines.

same rule applied.

i am thinking this is the better deal than the yesterday's $50 off for $120 more wines. normally the wine below $100 for 6 bottles or 12 bottles at Wine Market. so the $50 one looks more, but you need 2 x the items. which is bit stupid and more expensive.

so, this one is much better.

e.g. Penfolds Koonunga Hill Shiraz Cab 2010 (6 bottles) will be $59.6 inc shipping.

not the best deal, but looks ok.

Friday is finally here! This has been a long, tough week for us here at WineMarket HQ.
We've had man flu raging through the office, cats running away, several incidences of 'late busses' and one serious toilet clogging.
To bring back the balance of peace in the WineMarket world we've decided to squeeze in a cheeky $30 off wine orders over $55* while the boss isn't looking. (That's what you get for having back to back meetings until 4pm, boss man!)

Use voucher code DONTTELL in the cart.
*T's & C's apply. Voucher valid on all wine orders site wide until 4pm AEST today only 30/05/2014. Excludes Beer, Cider, Champagne and RTD's. Not necessarily better, depends on your spend. As a %, this one is actually better.

    • as i said in my commands, normally the price at Wine Market for normal wines below $120, so you need 2 case instead using $50 off, but on most of the wines, $30 off is better :)

      • Yeah there's no point buying two cases, then you're only getting $25 off each so yes this $30 deal is better. There are however a couple of really good choices between $120 and $160 that the $50 voucher makes a great deal on. Claire valley shiraz and Wynns Coonawarra Shiraz, Cab, Merlot. Both work out to less than half of Dan Murphy's price and they have excellent reviews. I went with the Wynns personally.

    • yes! very good! $29 delivered!

  • Good voucher, nothing worth buying. Winemarket is losing the market quickly to competitors.

OP, might I recommend putting mininum spend in title?

    • thanks. modified.

Which competitors exactly? I've been using winemarket for years and I haven't found anyone consistently competitive with them, pretty much only buy with vouchers but they come round often enough. I've used vinomofo a couple of times but it's generally higher end stuff, most is out of my price range. There's heaps of wine worth buying in Winemarket in my opinion (if you like red). I've got at home the biscay rd shiraz, pennys hill red dot, grant burge batch 01, wynns shiraz and shiraz blend, ishtar shiraz, and now i'm going to try the dark purple cleanskin shiraz with good reviews for $54 a case delivered! Show me a better deal and i'm there! :)

        I agree completely with you!

I've had a couple of cases of the http://www.winemarket.com.au/Cleanskin-James-Oatley-Tic-Tok-… which has been very good. and comes with free shipping too.

PS is this the one you are taking about?: http://www.winemarket.com.au/Cleanskin-Shiraz-2013-12

        • Cheers :) Yeah that's the one, I considered the oatley actually but it doesn't mention the colour. I like my reds as dark and purple as possible so I went with the description that sounded the most promising.

Infraction, VinoMofo is definitely making a big dent in things, and their wines start as cheaply as Winemarket (e.g. the Schild Estate often mentioned here was $6 a bottle). Even DMs is sometimes doing better deals, and Cracka Wines is often high end but comes up with good stuff too. I've had some pretty average wines from WineMarket over the years, their delivery has always been slow, and I just don't get excited by many of the wines they offer anymore. Still, sometimes something good will come up - I stocked up on Clancy's recently, for example. And the recent Wynns deals have been OK (but not spectacular).

        • Yeah I got a case of the schilde, not bad, but not my favourite. I've been smashing the biscay rd shiraz it's great, and the pennys hill red dot was a bargain for the money aswell. I would rate both of those over the schilde personally. I'm keeping the schilde aside to see if it gets better with some more age on it. Never had much luck with crackawines, most of their stuff is comparable to DM prices.

  • can it be used for beer?

    • i don't think so, you can do a try. from my understanding, only for wines.

  • This one could be OK, St Hallets is usually reasonable although for the shiraz rather than the cab sav

    http://www.winemarket.com.au/?fragment=#St-Hallett-Gamekeepe…

anyway, 6 bottles delivered for $38. Not 'cheap cheap' but $6.30 per bottle isnt too bad and at least you know its from a reputable company.

  • Any good Pinot Noirs?

  • I think the Grant Burge merlot (or shiraz) was ok, 12 for 59 delivered, just under $5 ea.

    • Don't know why but it looks like my order didn't go through….. very strange, could be a PayPal thing.

  • Can someone explain how a Winemarket Affiliate link on OzB works and why it is allowed considering this statement that they are not allowed
