    Just did a bit of reading and it seems this is the missing link to why many aftermarket "fast" chargers were not working as expected. Came down to the cable.

    This might work for the Transformer T100 I just purchased.

      ive spent $60 in the past few months buying cables to find a high AWG micro usb

      If you dont care about length, just go to Aliexpress and look for the ones that look like samsung offical USB cables
      the sellers even bundle with 2A wall adapters for like $3.5-$50

      If you want length, i found a 3 meter one for $10 on ebay

      They arrived as sexy thick cables and i confirmed they can even charge windows 8 tablets

      Was ready to buy until I saw your post. 32cm is way too short.

      Length needs to be mentioned in description… much shorter than what you would expect.

        Is that by itself a reason to neg the deal? Short cables can be lighter and charge faster than similar longer cables, so there is a niche for smaller cables. If you need another reason, the deal claims that it is faster because it uses all four pins for power. Actually, fast charging cables work by tricking the phone into thinking it is attached to a standards compliant fast charger. This is fine if you attach it to a non-standard charger (e.g. an Apple charger). However, there is a reason phones avoid drawing more power: to avoid the risk of damage to non-fast chargers.

        This probably won't be a problem. I'll probably get a few myself, but it is worth being aware of.

      the one I received with my S4 is very fast, I definitely notice a faster charge with this than the (original) charger that came with my S2

      I would say the Samsung ones are better quality and charge faster than cheapy cables but are not a Fast Charge cable like this - these cables cannot sync data, the samsung will be able to.

    Going to give this a go. 32cm is super short but I've gone through so many cables trying to find one that'll charge my S3. Only have 2 that work so more are always appreciated.
