  • Cheers OP, got one at bunnings marion (SA). There on clearnace, save $79. About 5 left.

  • Bought 2 today.

  • 2nd unit made in Taiwan with an oversize draw liner. Poor quality control.

    • Where was the first one made?

      • I cannot find the listing where it was made. I assume it is from China. One poster below me claims the opposite. So it depends on you lucky draw.

  • Must be discontinued. Not on their website.

  • Taiwanese ones are better made and heavier. Chinese ones have made in China on the box whereas Taiwanese will be in older dusty box with no country of origin.

Paint seems better on the Taiwanese ones, the chinese ones whilst newer showed more signs of wear (seven drawer cabinets at least).

Compared the seven drawer ones and Taiwanese are better built as well but only Chinese made ones in boxes. Chinese ones have slots down the sides for adding on side cabinets whereas the Taiwanese one does not and the steel seems heavier or at least better quality and in general the Taiwanese ones are better finished when you look at the joins and the smaller detail.

Also on both the rails seem to have a nicer side rail where it clips into the drawer, on the Chinese ones it seems a bit rough whereas the Taiwanese one looks thicker and nicer finished. The front hand grab on both was better attached on the Taiwanese one with four screws whereas the Chinese one was attached with four rivets. The rivets on the Taiwanese one appear better and more substantial as well.

Both have rails that run nicely and it was hard to pick between them as far as smoothness of the action. Both are a lot better than the other similarly priced rubbish (black 4 or 5 drawer unit for around $100 which you could feel the drawer twist as you pulled it out).

Stock available at Bunnings Rocklea (both Taiwanese and Chinese) with no stock at Bunnings Oxley.

  • Stock at Coburg, Vic, but listed at normal price….
