Oh hell no.. I'm seriously considering buying 2x500gb and putting them in a raid0.. (yes I'm aware of drive fail/data loss)..
Why not just buy a portable drive 2tb with usb 3.0 for ~$120?
Its better option than this if you are going to use it as portable drive

I have a large capacity SSD in an external enclosure for use with my MBA - running Steam and everything else from the SSD is heaps better than some 2.5" HDD.
The chance of getting the deal is low. It's limited to 20 units.
Good deal, questionable RRP though.
Anyone interested in this, Amazon has it for $500AUD/$465USD (using 28 deg mastercard) shipped. Very tempted but it's a lot of $$$$ for a boot disk :)
Edit: in terms of actual value, shoppingexpress has a better price than amazon as you're not paying any tax with amazon..
