Tried this wine a couple of weeks ago. This is a fantastic drop for the price. Usually $17.99 a bottle this works out to be $11.66 a bottle in a case of six (35% saving). Normally $17.09 in a case.
I'm no wine connoisseur but this is light for a shiraz and easy to drink. Not to be mistakened for the current 2012 release (yet to try).

When I first got into wine many years ago I would buy case lots of this (on special - an ozbargainer before the internet). I would write the year I would drink it on the sealed case, then I would have 1 bottle a month for that year.
The ole Koonanga when young has bit of bite but really mellows out nicely after about 4-5 years and I kept them for up to 10 years and they were still getting even better. So these 2008's should be coming into their prime. I would say great now and for the next 5 years.
What a shame I hardly drink anymore. Great deal on a great wine.
Great wine lucky enough to get one as part of a two for $20 (I was it $25?) offer at BWS a few months ago.
