  There are a few things which I personally think shouldn't be skimped on (I don't mean buy the most expensive one, but it definitely is worth shelling out a bit more than at the $2 shop)

  1) Bed
  2) Shoes
  3) Socks
  4) Knives + Chopping board (don't get the plastic ones!)

  1 or 2 solid knives and you won't need anymore

  Never ever believe that there is a knife that never needs sharpening. Its an instant turn off When I read that the knife never ever needs sharpening so buyer beware. its probably an OK knife just dont expect it to stay sharp.d

  The holes in the blade will make it a pain to clean. Those inside edges are a trap for all sorts of crud.
  I also agree that a steel knife is going to need sharpening… Hell even "no sharpen" ceramic knives go blunt.
