Apple iPhone 5c 16GB - Telstra - $672 outright in store

40

Needed to get a new iPhone for my dad as his 4s died, did the usual web searches etc. Found an average price for the iPhone 5c to be around $720-$730 for stores with stock (JB HiFi, Dick Smith, BigW, Office Works etc.) Tried the Telstra website but they don't appear to advertise a buy outright price online - not in any simple/logical way anyways. Ended up going into the Telstra store to check his plan/contract etc and was told $672 for a iPhone 5c 16GB. All colours are available as of yesterday in Melbourne Bourke St store. I assume this is available nationally, not sure if you can buy outright online at telstra.com.au - the site only seems to offer phones with plans. Please add links if you know how to buy outright from Telstra online. Could have price matched at office works for and extra 5%.

      12 Month Warranty!

Twelve months of a Kogan HK Pty Ltd warranty!!!!

White $602 delivered (2 weeks+ delay) from Kogan HK
White $672 in store from Telstra

$70 extra for getting it NOW - and for two years of local warranty support from Apple Australia - and for local 'out-of-warranty' support for at least two years (and for even longer).

$70 well spent in my opinion - others may just want to save the $70 and to take their chances.

Other colours are $582 delivered (two weeks delay) from Kogan HK Pty Ltd.

      • where do you get the 2 years warranty from?

        • where do you get the 2 years warranty from?

Surely you meant to ask ->

From where does one get the 2 year warranty?

As I wrote - "warranty support from Apple Australia".

  • Well, it is around $580 delivered from kogan. It is a grey import but it is $90 cheaper. Depend on how you value the local stock label it might better to buy from kogan.

Edit: beaten by Sharma. The white one is 579 + delivery but all the other colour are less, Blue Yellow and Pink are all $559 last time i check.

    • More like $60-70 with delivery (not sure how much but usually $20-30).

      • only if you want the white version, all the other colour are cheaper.

Ah, no. Not if you meant http://www.uniquemobiles.com.au/mobile-phones/apple

Direct Imports are $619. "This Item is offered and supplied by
      Blue Rabbit Limited Hong Kong."

So, same warranty problems/limitations as Kogan HK Pty Ltd.

Local A-Tick AUS Stock (whatever that means, as the HK models are also safety certified for Australia) are $599 and $699 (depending on colour).

However, all the 16GB 5c Local AUS Stock are Sold Out.

      http://www.uniquemobiles.com.au/catalogsearch/result/?q=appl…

If I were selling them, and were also Sold Out, I could price them at only $499 each.
