Safety tips
• Always check your electric blankets before using them every season. Most accidents are caused by misuse or by blankets which are worn and old and have not been checked regularly.
• Check all cords to ensure they are not frayed or damaged.
• If you suspect a problem, turn it off and have the blanket checked by an authorised repairer.
• Always switch off your blanket before going to bed or leaving the house.
• Never place too much bedding on the blanket and leave for a long time as this may cause it to overheat.
• Never fold up an electric blanket into your sofa bed even while off.
• Don’t wash an electric blanket unless the manufacturer recommends it.
• Be careful with pointed or sharp objects that could damage the heating element.
• During storage, fold the blanket neatly but not tightly.

  • Always switch off your blanket before going to bed

    OI no!
I leave it on overnight, often on max setting. Nothing like a hot toasty bed to help me sleep.

    • It's more about the EMF it creates, no need to fry your cells.

      @pw

Will you still get a refund if you return a recall blankets without a receipt?

      Yes
I just returned mine and got full refund without receipt.
      No question asked.

      Cheers

      • Thanks for the information!

  • Fitted works better for me.

  • Bought the Aldi one and recommend it.. its got 9 heat settings for upper and lower body..

    • When was this? Mine has 3 (2013)

      • The one from last Saturday's catalogue has 9 heat settings. It's probably sold out by now.

        • Ok. Saw yesterday. $55 for Queen Size.

        • Yeah, i bought one of these today.

9 heat settings, 4x zones total (dual control - each with upper & lower coverage), and a timer (up to 12 hours, in 1 hour increments). LCD display.

Got it on now - fits the bed fine. We'll see how it goes tonight…

I can see there's cheaper ones, but this looks like it's worth the $55.

Here's some general waffle from choice, and a review that i can't read as i'm not a member.

  • I signed up with HN yesterday but have not yet received the $5 voucher. Does anybody encounter such a problem?

  • When does this special price end? Till stocks last or till EOFY?
