    Remember that Brother do not supply a USB A-B cable on the assumption that most people already have one from previous printers, so this reduces waste. Something to be aware of if you don't have a USB A-B cable.

    Just so you don't end up in this situation, or wait a couple of weeks for a cheap one via eBay from HK.

      yes it does, price matched at office works today and come with toner, does not include USB cable, didn't bother me as i've got spares

      The printer comes with a 700 page toner not a 1000 page toner.

    I have the HL 2140 and it's great. Quick response time, easy duplex or booklet printing and once it recieves the file the page takes like 2 seconds to print. I have done over 3000 pages with no problems and since this is from the same family I'd recommend it too.

      A quick search on eBay shows that for 1000 page toner cartridges, compatibles start at around $22 and originals about twice that.
