Bought this the other day while on the 25% sale for $160, hoping to get $60 back! Thanks for sharing.

Are super cheap catalogs country wide?

Not sure who in their right mind would pay $200 for this set. It's border line even at half price. Get rid of the bit set, hex keys, and screw drivers, throw in a 1/2" ratchet and sockets then we call it a deal. :)

    • O.k browser. Would you be kind enough to give a link to a better deal?

I own the Crescent 206 piece set. It has the 1/2" sockets and drives in addition to all the smaller bits included in this set. It is not on special any more but will still be on a price similar to this deal.

Mechanic's tool kit with metric sockets 12 to 15 + 17mm!? Wow, a whole FIVE metric sockets. That either a misprint, or takes a prize for misleading advertising.

  • For what it is its ok for the price. But somewhere down the line you'll be replacing all of them and tbh if auto repair is your main goal this set is a no-go for me. Only due to the fact its a mix 'n' match set. We rarely use imperial in Aus so half the set is useless imo.

50 of the "150 piece" set are screwdriver bits, plus one if you include the screwdriver handle, 18 hex/allens bits half of them will prolly be imperial (usless in most applications), 7 of the 14 spanners are going to be imperial … and half the number of sockets you count.

If your on a budget and looking for tools it pays to shop around.

I would recommend buying 6 point sockets but i couldnt find them on the website. But as you can see scrounging around can save you money in the long run.

  • thanks OP, bought

  • hmm this was on special in February for the same price, I brought one then, not a bad kit for around the home jobs.

  • im guessing a breaker bar isnt included
