    I would just like to share my cousin's story about this shop:

    She was pregnant and her baby boy was a premmie. He didn't survive and she wanted to bury a teddy bear with him. She went to Build-a-Bear and picked something out. The sales lady asked if she wanted to purchase insurance for the bear. My cousin said, "No thanks, we're burying this with our son." The sales lady pushed again for insurance and it was like WTF why would I need insurance when I am burying it.

    Insensitive, pushing for a sale.

    There's a few stores on the Gold Coast, usually empty no one wants to buy. Maybe it's really popular in the US.

    I'll share another story, Spender.

    We took our kids to the chadstone store, as we thought it would be a good activity for my child's birthday. Anyway, after the kids had chosen the highly overpriced toy 'outer shells', we thought they would get to stuff the toys themselves, and get to decorate it. so will have some fun time "building the bear"..

    NOOOO… the assistant picked up the toy from the kids and stuffed it herself, and there was nothing to decorate as the 'outer shell' was already decorated. The assistant only handles the stuffing machine.

    we got two toys with their 'birth certificate', and cost us nearly $70 or so… with no fun experience…we were out of the store in 10 minutes…

    Absolute waste of time and money.. there is no 'building' the bear. no fun for the kids… Nothing that allows the child's individuality to shine through… (as the Store rep falsely claims)…. the only difference from a normal toy store is that the toy is stuffed in front of you, instead of in a factory, therefore this is simply an overpriced stuffed toy.

    So Store Rep, there is no "Activity" let alone "Perfect Activity" as you are promising… the only "Activity" the kids do is to choose the toy outer shell.

    PVA, agree with you, there is usually no one at these stores…
