NOTES on ITEM FAKE or NOT :

===========================================================================================

Genuine Packaging Pics : http://bbs.xiaomi.cn/thread-9622505-1-1.html (New Paper Box Packaging for newer units)

The user submitted images on Banggood just denote how the fake ones look like.

Usually the one I got looks like this after I did a dis-assembly.

http://imgmgr.banggood.com/images/upload/2014/04/SKU133424-1…

I complete charged my iPad Air + my Xperia Z fully and there was still some charge left.
So of course it should be a genuine Xiaomi.

As of this price, now these are available on Xiaomi (Chinese) website and costs just 88 Yuan (Around 15$) for 2 Units of this. Go her add to cart here : http://www.mi.com/item/1135000430.
Please note you can't to ship to Australia from MI Chinese website. They ship only to mainland china and HK.

One is for 69 Yuan and if you add another it is another 19 Yuan, so 2 for 88 Yuan or around US $15. Thats $7.5 per piece and there seem to be enough stock of all colors.

    • Great!

      • i dont have the proper tools to pry open the plastic covers covering the screws, but based on the external analysis in the link
        https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1422132464718602.1…

assuming that link is legit and correct, the one that I received would be classified as real and consistent with all the indicators in that link e.g mine has small leds, white micro usb port, very faint hard to read text to indicate mAh and bundled USB cable does not have the USB logo on it as per the 3rd image

        • Thanks Terry, that does sound encouraging…. A guess the only thing left to do is test it's performance charging a high capacity device…ie ipad?

  • ….

  • received mine today, and while I have not attempted to open the case, I am convinced it is genuine.
This link with video is helpful, also you can check serial number on the site referred in the video.

  • Recieved today, seems genuine from what I can tell. The scratchable barcode checks out on their website.

However, They sent me the wrong colour, after all this waiting…

    • Everything has been resolved through BangGoods excellent support!

  • Mine came today also, bit of a wait but it seems legit… Will have to investigate further

    packaging was nice

    edit: used this guide http://en.miui.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=19104&highli…

Mine matched the REAL product in every test that didn't require me to open one up.

    Satisfied!!

  • I've got mine today(grey colour). The item came in a genuine looking packaging but the seal was broken (comes with the scratchable security label that checks out).

I have not opened up the case to verify the internal battery but all external technical test as detailed on http://en.miui.com/thread-19798-1-1.html passed.

The only non-technical test that it didn't pass was the very dark/solid power bank label (side with the 10400mAh). Connectors/power button are also in grey instead of white which might be because of the case colour. I wonder if the ones direct from xiaomi shows the same thing…

Till I'm fully satisfied, I'll be making sure to not leave it while charging. kaboom!

  • +2

I have disassembled this power bank that I received today to check and it is genuine one. This has 4x LG 18650 battery which is 2600mAh each.

Phew received mine as well today. And yes as my 1st one of course its genuine.
See the comments by the people here, they were so -ve and because the price was so low, most of them posted crap even when I told 100 times that I bought one in April. I must say I will never ever post referred links again as people become extra paranoid even for members who have posted many deals and are here for quite long.

Good to see it worked out in the end and you all got an awesome deal. Congrats everyone and all to the nayers you retards missed out. Pay the extra $5 now pretty please :P

    • Lol….a very diplomatic and restrained response, well, at least until the last two sentences!

    • Agreed. I received mine today as well. Looks like the real thing, and considering I'm going overseas soon where I'll be on the go a lot, I'll look at my price tag and get my fix of positive post-purchase affirmation.
