  • Good price for a 200HZ 3D TV

    • Yeah that's what I was thinking too!

    • +3

100hz or 200hz don't really matter it's more about the software they have for controlling the micro/local-dimming and CMR, which improves the picture and I believe that H7000=CMR of 800, H6400=400 and H8000=1000

Go buy a 50hz then if it doesn't matter

        • +3

I was commenting on Samsung. Its all about motion interpolation. Of course a cheap 50hz, won't have the same motion management. Even though Australia fta only 50hz, 200hz advantage would only aid with 3d.

I dont think he mentioned anything about 50hz in his original reply, so no need to be a smart ass ozvalue1

every time i see this Hz garbage I feel the need to repost my previous comments

  • Anyone knows how much is the camera for this tv ? most of the functions require one. Also the multi picture is only tv channel + samsung apps. I'm after PIP with PC/HDMI + TV.
It seems the best price for this TV so far.

    • The local stock that I could find was at BingLee which was for the VG-STC3000(2013) for $130 which is 720p and compatible. The 2014 is the VG-STC4000 at 1080p, that I cant find here but it was under $80USD from Amazon

If it was 60" I would be sold

I got the 2013 version of this TV (55F7100AM) on clearance for a bit under $1600 some months ago at TGG. Best TV I have ever owned. The out of box colour settings were saturated and needed a little tweaking down, and I run the backlight at 8 out of 20, so it has a LOT of brightness if you need it. Apparently there is very little difference between this and last years model (the stand seems to be the most significant change).

Overall a really fantastic TV. I also did a comparison against last years LG and the Samsung had a lot less colour bleed. One thing to note about these ultra-thin TV's is they won't take much bending to warp the light diffuser and produce some blotchiness, you CAN even do this inadvertently while connecting the base if you are not careful. However, they settle down when left standing unless badly warped.

Also, having replaced an LG plasma our electricity bill has gone down $50+ per quarter, or about $200+ a year if that saving holds. The picture continues to amaze me, and the colour is equal and consistent across the screen. I can't toast marshmallows over the top anymore however as it emits practically no heat.

My advice is jump on this if you have been waiting for a great new LCD at a good price. Samsung has released multiple new firmware over the last few months too, so they keep the TV up-to-date and bug fixed.

    • Good feedback. I'm leaning towards the series 8 though simply for the ultra slim wall mount option. Frustrating this tv doesn't support the mount.

    • “Please Note: this item does not come with the original stand, however it comes with a different ” … Manufacturer refurb plus postage $100. No thanks.

  • What do you people think about $2644 for the latest Samsung?

  • This is Out of Stock, since early this afternoon.

  • 3 more of these TV's have been added to the eBay store since last night.

Edit, code doesn't seem to be working. Nvm
