A good set of basic speakers that deliver decent sound and bass for under $100. I've been using the previous model for the last 7 years, and am still happy with the sound.
The logitech ebay store are also clearing them at $69. Its possible we may see further discounts from them soon

They also have Seagate 4tb drives, normally $199 now $159

Works out to $40/tb.

  • Bugger! Just bought one a day ago from Logitech shop for $69

Z506 is only $49 at MSY, although it's currently out of stock.

  • Are they any good? Bought one from local DSE, didnt power on. Been back to replace but they havent had in stock. Pls rate ur experience :) cheeerrrrssss

  • Thanks, bought HD

  • These are pretty good but the rear speakers make a "squeal" sound if the source is not true 5.1ch.

I purchased the z623 for $99 and those are FAR better! Although, you will have to live with 2.1ch but I'm not sure why a PC user would need 5.1ch speakers

2.1 vs 5.1 - seriously? Anyone who watches movies on their PC would need 5.1ch speakers.

      • indeed, also lots of games have 5.1ch audio.

  • Coupon is not valid

    • Don't click on the picture link, click on the link (to ebay) in the deal's text.

Picture link points to regular DSE online store, not their ebay store. Coupon code is only valid for the ebay store.

      • Also, when I tried to buy through the DSE ebay store, it wouldn't let me use the coupon code if I wanted to pay by credit card. It said I had to pay through Paypal to use the code. So I did, and it worked.

      coupon still works…

  • These speakers any good for PS3, wanting to get some for my racing cockpit but would like true sound so I can hear the cars race up from behind me etc

DickSmith has topped my list of worst customer experience. Purchased a PS4 controller from them on Sunday and a random Belkin Universal Power Supply arrived today, rather than my controller. Never ever going to deal with DSE again, absolutely shocking.

    • On the contrary, I bought ps4 system for $488 (last week special) delivered the next day @1.30 PM.

I ordered a Belkin Universal Power Supply on the weekend and had a PS4 system delivered today!

hold on, are you being serious..?

  • Seagate 3TB works out to be $40/TB too, so just depends on what you need really.

  • 4Tb Seagate drive only is $186 at MSY, so I'm curious if they are still using different firmware on external drives to differentiate. Not concerned about breaking warranty, more about being able to apply same firmwares as desktop models if this drive was removed from the external caddy.

  • Link points to DSE "normal" store, not ebay store. Coupon does not work at "normal" store.

  • Yeh my wait time is usually 1-2days from their website. But got the ps4 camera from their eBay store and it still hasn't posted

    • I bought Dead Rising 3 on Monday from the eBay store and got it today.

  • Pricematched the 4TB with OW, came to ~152…not bad for a 4TB…

  • ……

  • Price Matched the Z506 at local OW, paid only $58.50 :D

    • You were lucky, the person who served you didn't know the rules. I tried after seeing your post, and the Officeworks staff politely took me across to a computer, and brought up their "lowest price guarantee" webpage. Under the "What items are excluded from the LPG?" section, it says "Cash back and coupon offers". So without the coupon code, the Officeworks and DSE prices are the same, no price match for me.

Webpage for lowest price guarantee: http://www.officeworks.com.au/information/policies/lowest-pr…

So I went home and bought from the DSE ebay store. Still, a good price, but it would have been nicer to get an even-better price and instant gratification from Officeworks.

      • Ah ! Well he was a friend of mine from school way back :) So that's probably why! I thought I would give it a shot and if told nope, I'd get it from ebay that way.. but I was lucky and have the speakers setup today :P not bad for the price I'd say! I also have the Z-550 in the living room :P

  • Interesting, on the DSE ebay page it shows the CDSH20 code being valid until 22/06, but when I tried to enter it it says it's expired?

4TB HDD also currently 6% off, so if the 20% code works that'll bring it down to $149!!!!
