Got mine for $300 from JB ages ago.
I'd be guessing a markup of at least 50%, more likely 100% on headphones from what the store pays to what they puton the price tag - plenty of room for the store to offer a discount on what might well be $150 margin on these cans. If you're not negotiating on 'standard pricing' items like these you're capitulating on them.

Yeah I love mine. Think I paid about $280 at JB early last year during a 20% sale. I've noticed the price has fluctuated a bit in the local market for these headphones. Anyway, highly recommended.
just go to JB and ask for a price, did that a while ago, they knocked $100 of them without much fuss
Anyone know how these compare to the Sennheiser PXC 450? These ones kind of look a little ugly.
