Australian Personal Computer (APC) has reviewed some Kogan products, and they have stated that the build quality isn't good (I don't have it in front of me but I think for example they thought one of the netbook's plastic is flimsy/not solid). You have to pay for delivery (on top of the $399 obviosuly) as they don't allow pickup (See http://www.kogan.com.au/faq/ : Q: Can I pickup my order?
Our products are stored and dispatched from a 3rd party warehouse.
Due to OH&S reasons, our warehouse does not allow pick-ups. All Kogan products are for delivery only.)

A TV that size has no need for full HD, you wouldn't notice it at all.
    Good price still though

It's a computer monitor with a digital tuner built in.. you could and should use it for both.

    • I think you would if you're sitting computer distance from it. It depends what your eyesight is like (and yes, I know all about those distance for HD viewing calculations)

If you're using it as a computer monitor, why not pick up an Acer 23" 1080p monitor for $189 then slap on a cheap $25 USB high definition DVB-T tuner and you'll also be able to record.

Even still, $189 + $99 for a HD STB and you've got a bigger monitor at a cheaper price.

I suppose this is a convenient option, but with shipping and only 1 year warranty (have to pay more to extend it) it slowly starts creeping up in price.

  • Problem with small LCD is viewing angle.

    • It's more of the cheap TN panel it used…
