"Free Headphones [$29.95RRP] with $40 SIM or Pre-paid Phone Purchase - Boost Mobile"

    Just a title suggestion.

The T&Cs are listed half way down here: http://www.boost.com.au/terms_conditions.aspx

Black/Orange Boost Mobile AO Thump headphones. Product Code: 116686. Value $29.95 each.
*Headphone warranty is subject to gift suppliers own terms of use.

  • They ran a similar promo early last year, and I got a set then. They aren't bad, especially for a freebie. The headphones also fold up, so they are good for travel, etc.

Or wait for half price sale & put the saved $20 towards better headphones of your choice discounted on OzBargain ;-)

I've still got a $20 BOOST from February - not so interested after they reduced data to 2GB.

  • Is it possible to 'recharge' your existing account with this sim?
Maybe you could port the number over…

    • I'm 99% sure you can do this, but it is at the whim of the operator you speak to, and they certainly won't do it for you repeatedly.

Any others can advise on this?

    • I am on the same boat.
But what we can do, I think, if they won't we can always switch to Lebara/Lyca or Amaysim for a month and come back to Boost.

  • last year when they ran this they had a dedicated page on their site which allowed you to sign up for this, which eventually disappeared. They refused to honour the headphones though, saying you have to sign up via a promo card given out by street vendors (phoned them up weeks later). I never got my headphones last time, but i'll try again

I've had a look at the sign up process, and I think I must be getting too old, but I can't be bothered going through "the process" just for "free" $10 headphones.

hands in his OzBargain membership in shame

    • never to be seen again…
