It's a solid camera. Have had it for over a year now.

Could have got the D7100 for $750 during the eBay sale. That would have been much better value

    • Wouldn't the one on ebay be grey import?

Oh I know what u mean now… mean from DWI sale on ebay…

I have this camera with kit lens. I rarely used it and have not been drop. It takes very good pictures but is too heavy for me. You can have it for $590. It came with an extra battery and after market battery hand grip that takes AA batteries.

    • How old is the camera? I might be interested if you are in Melbourne…?

      • Nikon D7000 w/18-105mm VR Lens Digital SLR Camera. It has only 4,700 shutter counts. This camera is rated as 150,000 shutter count life. I am in Melbourne.

  • great camera. i have sony a580 which uses the same sony sensor in it and it has amazing low light capability.

    • Had amazing low light capability would probably be a better description. Now it is pretty standard high iso performance.

Even the cheap m4/3 Pen Mini 2 can match or beat it now. http://www.praha.fotozh.eu/P1050990.jpg (omd in this pic is the same as the pm2)

      • That's screen looks ugly even it's a touch screen (460.000 dot? Meh). I would prefer the A580 or D7000. Look more professional and better handling.

        • Did i say that camera was a better camera? We were talking about sensors, not cameras.

The point you missed was that this older sensor isnt really "amazing" in low light these days. Not saying it is bad, it is average. D7000 is a decent camera, rather heavy and large though.

        • Fair point… i stopped upgrading my SLR long time ago as A580 exceeds my needs but newer sensors are even better as expected.

  • I am not a Nikonian but it looks like it is a good price for D7000.
And even better one for D7100 ;)
