    WHAT
I bought this for about $15 when dicksmith had their 40% off. =(
can I be sure its exactly the same?

edit: on close inspection the font is different and mine has a cable built in whereas this one doesnt.
but if the actual battery unit is the same I can vouch for the quality.

    • +2

First of all, please visit our link and check the package. I'm not sure what package your power bank with.
Secondly, the accessory we provide is 1 cable, I don't know how much accessories your power bank has.

        what…are you talking about…?

        • +8

I'm saying that I don't know why your power bank is so expensive.

        • +30

          Straya!

        • Because everything here is expensive.

        • +2

Cos employees need them cash dollars here..
          Straya!

$17/hour in case you're wondering why

  • +1

Don't know which brand or manufactured battery in this, but be careful, some battery caused short-circuit will damage your phone.

Now, do you still want to risk it?

    • +33

      Yes, I do.

      Thanks for your concern.

  • How many times can u charge a iphone 5??

    • +3

It probably won't even charge it once to 100%

If this is going to be a standard response to everyone's questions, prepare to get downvoted.

      • Well, then what would you like to know about this power bank? lol?

i believe if they using 18250 battery (real deal not fake) then this price is lower than the cost of the battery not to mation the chips cost so unless this is charity things…then i see no reason why this is so cheap

If you come to China, you'll know. lol~

      • +4

Wow, this is the first time I've bought an item for under $5 that comes with a free trip to China! Thanks rep - how do I claim?

        • +15

They'll probably ship you by boat.

        • +2

But what if Chairman Abbott declares on Chinese TV: "Stop the boats!", then you could end up on the tropical island of Manus…

        • +1

          @RussellPeters:
At least you'll have enough power to partially charge your iPhone to post about it on Facebook. If only this thing took eneloops…

  • This is pretty much an 18650 battery in an enclosure.
It's cheap, but there will be a lot of loss in the charging because the battery is 3.7V, and most phones are 5V

    • No. Phone batteries are 3.7/3.8V.

Well your phone charger is 240V down to 5V down to your battery 3.7/3.8V. I don't see people complaining about the power loss there?

      • but it still has to convert it, its charging via usb therefore has to do 5v conversion

  • +5

I'm thinking there is more power potential in some actual perfume

With reviews like this, it's a no brainer! I am so sold :)

    • +2

      Seems legit.

    • +5

The guy says that the device came in a nice packaging and works great.

EDIT: Many other Russian reviewers say it charges the phone to 50-70% tops.
Which is not very good, but kind of expected for this price.

      • "Battery came in a box as in the description, suitable even as a gift. The device itself is a little loose, but it is not essential. Took a trip as a lifeline for mobile phone, as the road is not always possible to recharge.
Performs its function perfectly, and then time will tell.

If the review was useful, please put "YES""

        • Google Translate is getting deep and meaningful :)
  • +6

But seriously, I've paid more than $3.46 for a USB cable before… (pre-Ozbargain days my friends. Oh the shame of it…)

    • +4

That's still acceptable, but only if it's 3M+ and 24AWG+ (such as Tikbro)

  • review seems good, but could not find a review in English,

  • Rep, can you do a deal on the cylindrical one?

    http://www.tinydeal.com/2600mah-cylinder-metal-mobile-power-…

    • +1

Will try. But according to the research, the cylindrical one is not as popular as this one. lol~

  • Does it have any indicator of the remaining charge?

    • +7

Yep, when your phone stops charging…

  • I bought one of these. It lasted one charge. It may have just been a dodgy one, but i wouldnt put too much faith in them.

    • 0.74 * 2600 = 1924 mAh (absolute maximum). Not sure what you were expecting if your phone has a 2000mAh or higher battery?

(Unless you mean the unit died completely after one charge.)

      • (Unless you mean the unit died completely after one charge.)

I think that's what he meant. Not unusual for a unit like this, the protection circuit probably died (melted?) and its basically a paperweight.

I highly recommend buying a Ruinovo enclosure and sourcing your own 18650 cells preferably branded ones like LG or Sony. Fasttech no longer ships lithium cells to Australia after the Malaysian MH370 incident, so have to search on eBay.

  • Bought 2 let's see if it's any good. 30 days shipping ???

  • I bought 2 as well.
Even if it can't charge the phone all the way it would be a good thing to keep around for emergencies.
    Hoping for the best.

  • Store rep, is it the same as this one:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sAAlGiNJmq4

    • Yes. same one~

  • +1

    Thanks, got one!

Edit: reviews say its "really good" apparently

    Thanks, got another one!

  • +3

+1 for post that received the most hilarious comment of the day :))…

  • +2

    Hey

I am looking for one with more power, would this one be more suitable and better price per battery

    http://www.tinydeal.com/12000mah-dual-usb-2a-mobile-power-ba…

    thanks

    • +1

Frankly, I think this would be much better: http://www.tinydeal.com/5200mah-alloy-power-bank-for-galaxy-…

      • +3

why , the one i selected is half the price and double the power ???

        • You're right. I'm not saying the one you selected is bad, it's good. The only thing I don't link is the volume, it's a little bit too big and heavy.
But it's all up to you.

        • Weight for 5200mAh: 0.23kg
          Weight for 12000mAh: 0.292kg

Seems pretty similar in weight. The 5200mAh looks more sleek though

      • This one looks very much like a Xiaomi MI CHARGER 5200MAH with same specs. Is it a genuine original Xiaomi rep?

        http://www.xiaomistore.com.au/mi-charger-5200mah/

        • +2

No, not original. You can say it's a knock-off. But it does perform well in charging~

        • +1

Hello, after confirmation, it's a genuine Xiaomi power bank~ Sorry for the mistake.

  • hurray, just ordered one :)

Thank You! We Appreciate Your Business!

  • I've used 6 of these power banks and none of them work to the capacity mentioned.

    I have 2 2600mAh ones that can charge my Nexus 5 (2300mAh) about 75-77%.
5200mAh that can charge about 3500mah (tested on samsung tablet)
12000mAh one that charges only 4000mAh
20000mAh one that charged 4500mAh in 4 hours.

Although, this is a decent price since the cheapest ones you can get from ebay is around $5.50 for 2600mAh, but they come with usb cable and adaptors for various phones and tablets (microSD, miniSD, samsung, nokia, etc)

Still a handy thing to have in your purse/backpack/car if you need to juice up your phone.

    • I am no expert on rechargeable batteries, although if you read enough here on Ozbargain on all the Eneloops and various chargers you do become much more informed. From my experience a lot of these kinds of rechargeable batteries are sold with lower capacities than stated. They also lose a bit of power in the conversion efficiency of the circuit. Also it is my understanding that you need a higher capacity battery in order to recharge another device to full capacity. This has been my personal experience also, even with high quality brand name batteries, but not as much loss than cheaper or fake/knock offs. In saying that there are some good cheaper ones out there. Do your research first, buyer beware and have realistic expectations. Enjoy the battery evolution. What will be next :-)

I thought it was the evil ring from LoTR

  • Thanks rep, I just ordered one.

  • Got 2, thanks Rep.

  • Im buying one thanks. I've seen these ones for $35 at the self-serve machines before in the city, so expensive.

Would this be able to provide at least 50% charge on a regular HTC phone?

    • Compare the capacity of your phone (which should be written on the battery somewhere) with the powerbank (2600mah) and should give you a rough idea of how much it should charge.

  • will it catch on fire?

    • Maybe. All lithium ion batteries can be dangerous (these are the same batteries used in laptops that sometimes you can see catch fire in youtube if they get shorted for example).

You should not leave any (highend or cheapie) lithium ion battery charging un-attended like overnight or when you are out of the house.

    • +3

lol~~ easy. Your phone can catch on fire, too.
Use it well and correctly, it'll be fine~

    • my thoughts exactly, aren't the legit ones been tested and approved on the packaging?

  • +3

This is the lowest price I have seen this powerbank and I have been through all the cheapest chinese retail sites. I have seen a review of this powerbank in a site dedicated to cree/led flashlights where they reviewed lithium ion battery chargers and the review is pretty decent. It does have built in over/under charge protection for the 18650 battery inside. You can open the case and use it as a 18650 battery charger. Also you can replace the battery with new one if it dies. The only problem is I am not 100% sure this is not a knockoff copy of the original but the external markings are all the same to the reviewed item. I am trying to look for the site and will post it when I found it.

  • bought one, thanks. lol~~

  • rep please stop lolling

    • +9

      OK.. How about haha then?

  • +1

    lol

  • Ordered one. Thanks, OP. Anything should be better than the other chinese ones I have from eBay. They are basically unusable. Hardly charges my Nexus 5 even 10%

  • I WOULD NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM TINYDEALS.COM ANYMORE!
They never delivered my order, have been chasing them for a whole year, and no one bothers to reply me about anything!!!

    • Another one TOPBUY.COM.AU too. I ordered two stuffs more than 6 months now. They said all were shipped…but? never arrived my home.

      • I know… they are ridiculous! Even though I emailed them today about my order today, and they said that they are still checking with the post office to see where the item is…

      • +1

Hello, Netizen. Please tell me the order number, I'll help to ask our customer service department. Thanks!

    • +1

Hello. kenicy27. Would you mind telling me the order number? I'll try my best to help you out~

  • +1

Thanks, ordered one but really hope the battery does not start-out/end-up in this corroded condition. Another funny photo here. And, all the product photos are available here.

  • Ordered mine on the 24th, still not receiving yet… :(

    • Same…zzzz still waiting

      • me too.. ordered on 26th. Nothing yet

        • yup, still waiting.

    • +3

Just signed up to let those curious that I got mine today (ordered two on 26th). After charging up both power banks, the first one managed to charge my iPhone 5s from flat to 46%. The second one however charged from flat till 60%. For this price, I still think it's a pretty good deal though. Hope this helps :)

    • Same here, nothing yet. Ordered on 26/06. It has only been 4 weeks though, we should be prepared to wait at least another 2-3 weeks. :(

  • Saw these when I went to China. These were selling for $1.

  • +2

I'm seeing the price as $3.96. Inflation?

  • Arrived today, let's see how it goes, thanks!

  • i ordered this on 26 June and received it today - I had paid $ 3.46 and free delivery.

the finish of the piece is good - though finish on the attached USB cable could be better. However there is no manual with it. The cable has standard USB at one end and micro USB at other and there are 2 slots on the pack - 1 USB abnd 1 micro USB.
I am confused - does it get charged only through the micro USB port (as shown on the tinydeal website) - and for charging the phone, I used the USB slot?

    • +1

      Yes, correct.

  • Received mine today, used so bad there are severe signs of cosmetic damage. If it was used, specify plz cuz mine just looks like a piece of crap

  • Ordered on 26 June and got it this morning.

    Tested twice on Nexus 5

    1. Flat to 44%. While phone was turned ON. Browsed on chrome and used few apps.
    2. Flat to 60%. Phone OFF the whole time.

Can't complain for the price. Hoped for a better Conversion Rate of what I got i.e. 53% (while turned off).

Just out of curiosity, how do you get your results with the charging? Do you leave your phone ON or OFF.

@xDrak1x Was your phone ON while your charged with the Powerbank. Seems I got better performance from mine since iPhone 5s has smaller battery capacity than Nexus 5 (1560 v 2300 mAh)

    • Yeah it was on both times in similar conditions. Well it seems each power bank's capacity varies. That's how it was for me where one power bank would hold ~20% more juice than the other.

  • Seems to work well with my S3. Does anyone know if it's okay to charge this from the mains rather than PC?

    • I have been charging on the mains. Its all good.

Got 58% from Flat this morning. Phone OFF.

  • Got my two the other day. Just tested one that was fully charged from a 5V 1A USB mains charger on a Galaxy Note 1 (2500mAH). Phone was on, at 5% charge, and the power bank gave up at 45%. I was expecting to get least 60-70% charge.
