      I haven't switched locations but clicking on the separate links (in each thread) takes me to the respective .com.au and .com sites and I'm still able to acquire from both?

  There are a few difference between the AU and US store promotion ???????.

  I cannot see any difference if you click the promo link @ Amazon.com on second right top here, as over $100 apps free and it's exactly the same 31 apps here and there are free as the Friday and Saturday promo. Other paid free apps @ Amazon.com have been free for long time, and/or many of them are always free or not available @ Google play. For example, Call of Victory

  However, there is one difference in Amazon.uk promo, which is the OfficeSuite Professional 7 is free @ Amazon.uk in addition to these apps.

  Nevertheless, these links may useful for people who have an Amazon.com account and like to grab same apps without any hesitating :).

      To switch to UK :

      1) Delete all non UK credit cards if anything given before, and also delete non UK addresses
      2) Go to Kindle management page - change country - enter any dummy UK address
      It should allow to buy the Office Suite (or other UK apps)

      Once completed, change the kindle country to USA (or Australia) and get back to life (with your UK free apps).

  Any of these come pre-installed with mal-ware? I mean some of those apps look dodgy, take a look at Clumsy Doctor.

  Still, I grabbed Plex that everyone is raving about, The Room 2 and a couple more.

  Don't bother with Accuweather Platinum, the free version has all the same features (maybe more) and the adverts are unobtrusive anyway. Possible the Platinum version is older than the free.

  I also noticed that some of the Amazon Apps are older than the Google Play versions. Beware.
