Worked like a charm- but may be will be like TuneIn or Coursera, will be cancelled once they detect it. But let's have the fun till then.

    • +11

I was hoping it would work like a calm.

  • -1

    Amazing thank you!

  • Worked. Legend. Thank you

  • Thanks

Ozbargainers using an anxiety inducing loophole for a relaxation app… perfect!!

  • +2

Thank you. Although I have no idea what this does. 🙌

      ..you're supposed to yell it??

    • Calm blue ocean. Calm blue ocean.

  • Worked thanks

  • +1

Use it while you can… Will probably get cancelled by Monday or sometime next week. Similar to the F-Secure Safe got cancelled in a few weeks.

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/682335

    • They may have canned that deal but they never reverted the redemptions. I had free F-Secure from that deal until earlier this year.

  • Worked thanks - most likely will be deleted by Monday lol

  • Worked Thanks

  • -1

You are our hero !!! M8

  • +3

At least staying calm over the weekend.

  • +5

how many of these high cost apps are 'accidentally' giving away access through a leaked code so they can farm mass amounts of potential customer data - and then reverse it like clockwork a few days later

    • +15

      Hanlon's razor.

Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.

      • It's not malicious in that sense though. It's taking advantage of people not knowing what they're giving away, in a lawful way. It's manipulative and underhanded but there isn't that sense of an individual's anger or desire to exact calculated harm that the aphorism describes. Maybe the internet needs a new razor!

        • why are they called razors?

          • +1

            @buyer-123: From Wikipedia:

In philosophy, a razor is a principle or rule of thumb that allows one to eliminate (shave off) unlikely explanations for a phenomenon, or avoid unnecessary actions.

Finally something for OzB to use while waiting nervously for cashbacks to track

  • Thanks OP. How do you share access?

    edit: nvm https://www.calm.com/app/profile/manage-subscription/invite-…

  • Thanks OP. Now we play the waiting game…

  • I've had a free year before from another promotion. No reason to believe it'll be cancelled this time

  • -1

Can you get to the profile without giving them card details for the free trial? I'm not giving them card details! :D but I can't work out how to get past the sub request page in the Android app

    • +4

You can tap the X in the top left, or back seemed to get me just to the home screen

      • +1

Thanks Perrino. Couldn't see any X, but clicking around/outside box and swiping back at various places seemed to get me through.

    • No need to give card details at all, just follow op instructions

  • Great mate ☮️

  • +3

I thought I would be excited this worked but I seem oddly calm about it.
    Thanks OP 🛌

For reference, the information has been taken from here:

    https://www.paypalbenefits.com/us/emotional-wellness/improve…

    • My work has a similar one, and I've always thought it would be so hard for them to have any control over it. This will probably trigger a rework of their code system, as there will be hundreds of codes like this around

    • +1

Worked for me. Wondering if we'd fly under the radar longer if we used the "outside the US" codes in this link

      • Yeah 5000 aussie IPs signed up rapidly for the US PayPal staff benefit

        I should’ve con’s the US first !

  • -1

    Amazing, thank you so much!

  • Thanks mate. Already feeling the calm 😌

  • Wow thanks OP 🥹 time for me to practise to stay calm at work and become a better person 😆

  • Thank you OP! Worked.

  • Thanks OP, worked for me.
    Cheers

  • +7

If Matthew McConaughey is reading you bedtime stories via a leaked wellbeing app subscription for PayPal employees on a Saturday night… no, you don't have an Ozbargain problem. It's totally normal

    • +1

      Alright, alright, alright.

  • This is the way!

  • Worked, thanks!

  • Surprised that there is no Alexa skill for this??

  • Have lifetime sub from previous VPN deal, but got this for family. Thanks op

  • Worked. Cheers!

I felt better than before I received Calm's "welcome" email.

    • Same 😂

      How are you really feeling today{{#if first_name}}, {{capitalize first_name}}?{{else}}?{{/if}}

    • I searched through the comments for this 😅

  • May i ask how to share with 5 other people? Apple Family?

    • 🤣 with Ozb it’s more like 5000

  • +1

Thanks OP, working and much needed.

    Calm

    FFS

  • All is well

  • Bingo! Now listen and keep calm

  • -3

Thanks mate. Sadly on iOS I got roped into signing up for a ‘free’ trial then getting charged $99 on App Store after trial ends. I cancelled this in app and on App Store, and was finally able to apply the code to get this free. Hope I somehow won’t get charged

    • -2

Did you follow the instructions step by step? I don't think it could have been made any clearer by the OP. FFS.

      • +4

Seems you are not feeling calm. I've got just the app for you.

    • +1

I’m on iOS and just pressed the giant cross on the screen to skip that part.

  • -1

Thanks, needed to calm down tonight

  • Just signed up and it worked - lets see how long it lasts!

  • Thanks OP

  • +2

I love you OP!!! healthy mind is my go to as it is completely free for life and Dalai Lama is on it + developed by a university with scientific literature referenced at the end of most practice sessions but it isn't linked to my pixel watch like the calm app is so bless ya!!!

  • -6

I'm not an anxious person but this app gave me anxiety within 20 seconds.. that horrific 'nature sounds' was unnatural, unnerving and very in your face (too loud) it did my head in. And I couldn't turn it off.

I don't think I can be bothered searching through activities/listening/stuff trying to find something I like.

Totally not sold on this app, need suggestions from you all on what I should be doing within it (high stress job is my main thing)

    • +2

Use the volume buttons on the side of your phone :)

      • -1

I did :) I just couldn't believe it was done so badly and forced at you, it gave a very negative impression first off . Presumably on starting an activity it's better but… Which activity to choose?

    • +2

need suggestions from you all on what I should be doing within it

Yeah meditation can be great and all but it's not for everyone, at least not in a simply packaged one-size-fits-all way like this. I know people who say their anxiety is increased with meditation because it just gives their racing thoughts more space - maybe they could have a breakthrough at some point but it's definitely not calming in the meantime and therefore not something they want to persevere with. Also those with misphonia may not appreciate the nature sounds. If it's not working for you it might not be worth forcing (regardless of other's high opinions) and you might be better off looking for wanted relief elsewhere.

      • -1

Meditation isn't a problem for me I don't think, still looking for that activity

        • +2

A good friend of mine is (was) a Buddhist and (still) heavily into meditation. I question him about it sometimes, I really am fascinated. When talking about enlightenment, which he claims he has reached numerous times, I realise it's his version of the same state I occasionally find myself in when I'm kayaking on my own in a serene environment and it all just "comes together." The world stops and it's fkn amazing. Like meditation, if I'm anticipating it then it doesn't happen - just gotta let go and expect nothing and soak up the calm. I'd suggest just do whatever you find calming (or experiment with new activities till you do) and go with the flow - don't think about it too hard.

    • I think you've stumbled on the sound of the forest CD that Peter Griffin got https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ZIbmBqRxBw

  • +3

Lol. Tried to see how long it lasts and specially because to stick it to paypal for screwing people on honey rewards affiliate hijacking

  • -4

Followed instructions. Asking for organisation email or special code

    • +3

isn't the special code, the one in the post?

    • +3

Didn't follow them very well then

  • Legendary!!!

  • Nice , thanks OP :)

    • -3

Still working dude … but it's a total croc; don't bother/don't waste your time. I did, and I was sorry that I did. If this is actually a profitable app/venture, I am astonished.

  • Remember Google unlimited cloud storage deal, this one is just an access which might last a while longer, I think.

    • +1

      Or the coursera plus deal.

    • -1

Yep they can easily revoke this code for everyone. Even the Endel lifetime deal some people got revoked even though it was legit if you referred real people (I assume these people did the fake email to get referrals)

  • +2

What's so special with this that got everyone excited?

    • +1

      "Was $69.99/Year"

      • God why would anyone pay 70$ for this?

  • F
Damn I can't see the gear icon

    Update:

Had to go via the app then it worked

  • +1

Great Post, followed instructions and all working :) Thanx
