Prices used as a guide from the website, however looking over the list there is a place in Gosford doing cats for $55, some places stating 50% off and some seem to be normal price. Our vet wants $195 normally, have got a quote for as low as $150 and as high as $300 (Sydney).

I would strongly recommend ringing around and finding out the exact cost as age (kittens are cheaper) can influence price as well as how long they have been off heat and a lot of other variables.

Snip
During the 2014 National Desexing Month, participating vet clinics around Australia will promote desexing and generously offer special deals to encourage the community to desex their pet in July before the spring breeding season. The aim is to help prevent the thousands of unwanted cats and dogs which are killed in pounds and shelters each year.

· There may be extra charges, for instance in case your cat/dog is in heat or requires extra services. Please discuss this beforehand with the clinic.
· If you can’t find a vet near you on the list, please call 1300 368 992 and we may be able to put you in contact with another clinic that participates in our program year round or we can refer you to another low cost desexing program near you.
· The below offers are available to the general public, unless indicated.
· Please be courteous to the staff at the vet clinic, they generously participate in this campaign voluntarily.

How about we just exterminate them all? Bring on the negs, cat geeks.

Letting animals multiply without having a loving home to go to is cruelty.

I applaud this initiative, and hope that they are swamped.

No idea about dogs. We took our dog to AWL and are good and were a great price. And got microchipped as well.
