The one that has a pickup/drop off that is most convenient to you.

      • True. What if both are? I'll do the reading on fees, excess, insurance, but if anyone has other certain reasons to chose one of them, please share.

flexicar has unlimited kms, just the hourly rate (13.50/hour)

goget has lower hourly rate (9.90/hour) but plus 40c/km.

also goget is currently $50/year to signup.
          flexicar is $0.

I have both =). Been a member of both for years.

And I tend to favour Flexicar more because of the unlimited kms.

I have an excel sheet that does the math for me on which is cheaper. It's basically comparing GoGet + km versus Flexicar outright. This depends on the distance of ur trip, how many hours, etc.

Keep in mind GoGet 'day cap rate' is lower. Day cap includes specific kms and extras are chargeable by km. This applies to both GoGet n Flexicar.

Please also note flexicar's rate of $13.50 is for 'economy cars'. More often than not u'll find more 'standard' cars near u which costs $14.50 a day on the lowest plan.

Flexicar from 11pm - 7am counts as only ONE hour while GoGet only charges km (no hourly) between 12am - 6am.

      Service, cars, both are comparable.

Great post, thank you - was just about to sign on, but you've saved me $70.
There's a Flexicar parked at the end of my street in Melb.
I rely heavily on public transport, have a car that I'm restoring so on and off the road but need reliable wheels from time to time.

    You're all welcome guys.
I tried to post my flexicar membership in case one of you don't know anyone for referral bonus but it got removed by the ozbargain mods :(
Anyway, mine is 'Sacha Ventura'. Hope this won't get mod-censored.

    • thanks for the info on the deal, I've used your referral. Cheers!

  • how do you prove that shopping dent WAS there when you picked up the car?

    • +1

First you check the log thats in every car at the drivers door. The last page is a damage report and a drawing of the car. If its not shown in the log, you need to just call it in to report the damage.

So be sure to check before you drive!
