  • Still works…bought one just now.

  • Waiting still.. I wonder how long it'll actually take.

    • Don't hold your breath. Its going to be weeks upon weeks.

    • general rule of thumb: if it's coming from china and the shipping is free, it can take about a month.

  • +1

    Got mine today :)

  • got(two cards) mine today!
one had Kingston hologram sticker but the other did not!

    • The product verification link provided on the packaging link is: http://www.kingston.com/china/verify
Here is the identical page in english: http://www.kingston.com/en/support/product_verification

I cannot seem to find the colour shift imprint on the product I've received. Video's on youtube show it should be printed on the outer edge of the actual microSD and that doesn't appear on the one I've received. There is a label on the packaging that looks like it but does not change colour, now it could possibly be the phantom technology label but it's a little different to the ones shown on the video.

As far as capacity goes, it checks out with H2testw.

Warning: Only 7319 of 7383 MByte tested.
      Test finished without errors.
You can now delete the test files *.h2w or verify them again.
      Writing speed: 4.62 MByte/s
      Reading speed: 18.6 MByte/s
      H2testw v1.4

      • I just received mine and was wondering the same thing. But if you read the link you posted it actually states these cards do not have colour shift.

The following products do not feature Phantom or colour-shift technology: microSD, microSDHC (4GB-32GB), DataTraveler MiniFun G2, DataTraveler 410, DataTraveler Locker+, DataTraveler Vault Privacy and Vault Privacy–Managed, DataTraveler 4000 and 4000–Managed, DataTraveler 5000, DataTraveler 6000, Media Reader, Media Reader USB 3.0, MobileLite G2 Reader and USB microSD/SDHC Reader.

There is a sticker on the packaging with a Kingston logo on it that looks like it should be holographic colour shift, but stays the same rose colour.

The sticker also has printed on it ID 0000000057712 and SN 06JEW-98FCP1-YUFQN. If anyone else has received one with these numbers then these are obviously fake.

It's also suspicious that the lot code on the card itself was silkscreened with the same stencil as the logo and other text.

        • The sticker also has printed on it ID 0000000057712 and SN 06JEW-98FCP1-YUFQN. If anyone else has received one with these numbers then these are obviously fake.

I received my two cards. Their IDs and SNs are different.

  • I think these cards are fake

just tried testing it using crystal disk mark

and it is really slow.. seq read 19.4 write 4.905

    on my 2gb kingston card

    I got seq read 17.99, write 8.712

also the there is no code on the back

    no holographic stickers

  • I noticed that the packaging is also a lift open type?? Aren't they usually sealed and require cutting into to open?

    • not just packaging

even the printed packaging is different

    • I don't think that is a very good indication of it being counterfeit (see comment).

  • Tiny deal card is not legit or defective quality

  • What is everyone using as proof to PayPal that these are counterfeit, for their disputes?

  • Well guys I received my cards earlier this week and just opened the envelope now. The cards are definitely not the same as the images they have on their web site advertising this deal/card. The most obvious is that my cards both have CHINA and not TAIWAN on them and as someone already stated, the screen-print on the card is all one colour, not separate as in the images on their web site. What does the the Store Rep have to say about this????? Why is he not commenting anymore???? It is purely the principle of the matter that bugs me….Mr.Torben you are a fake!!!!

    • The stencil of the product code is in one color whereas the real one is not..
Also on the back of the card, there should be a code printed on it, this card has no code
Also it saids china instead of taiwan.

The packaging is also cheap, no hard case, just a lift flap.

The packaging print is also different to real one.

      These are not genuine kingston.

      ===

I tested a genuine 8gb kingston class 4 bought from msy and this one..

the speed is definitely not the same

      this is not a class 4 speed…

this card is definitely not genuine class 4 or
      it is either/and
      -fake
      -defective
-batches that didn't made the grade for class 4, so repackage and sold cheaply in the chinese market (hence the different packaging)

if we pay $5 at msy, could have gotten a genuine one with proper class 4 speed…

Never buy memory cards from tiny deal ever again

      • You are sure that's another Class 4 Kingston?

4.871MB/s write speed reported by Slashgear on the Kingston 32GB Class4.

        • yes..

Anyways you can see the card is nothing like in their advertisement

          These are not genuine kingston.

        • @tyler.durden: That's still not really enough to prove it's counterfeit though, they may have different packaging for different regions and they can have them manufactured at more than one location.

        • @Dan_:

It's still misleading advertisement..product as not described

          well whatever…
it's up to you what you want to do with it…

  • fake or not, i am still waiting on delivery..

  • They are fake.

Card reading speed isn't the problem. The SD card I got from TINYDEAL is labelled 8gigs. Computer views it as 8GB but only holds 2GB.

Just do a google search to find programs to test if the SD card is fake or not. Most of these programs test if it's real by filling the SD card with data and testing them. Fake SD cards like the ones sent by TINYDEAL will have corruption in data and overwrite previous data if it goes above the real memory size.

The one I received writes a 2 gig file properly and has errors when it writes above it.
Seen these kinds of fakes sold on ebay but didn't think people would be scamming fake SDcards on ozbargain:(

Should have been sold as a 2GIG SD CARD. I actually might have paid $3 for a proper 2 gig sd card but not one that's been corrupted to be falsely read as 8gig. SD cards have limited read/write lifetimes and I wouldn't trust a fake sd card for more than a dozen read/writes.

    • Care to share your test results?

The one I received seemed to be fine in regards to capacity.

    • Agree with everything paradol has stated as I had a similar experience in the past, bought a 4gb card which showed those symptoms when full. Ended up being a 2gb card. Was particularly annoyed as I was on holiday using the card in my camera when this happened & as a result lost some photos/vids! Luckily I'm tech savvy, I caught on pretty quickly & immediately stopped using the card & got a new one straight away even if it was more expensive than elsewhere. You can't put a price on photo memories.

From that point on I said never again to eBay sellers selling cards from China. If it was from a reputable seller in AU, I might consider.

      Re: the card from TinyDeal
Would have to disagree with paradol on this one. I also bought one & tested with H2testw & results are in line with what others have posted.

All this may sound contradicting, but do know that China only counterfits fakes on larger capacities on the market at the time. The fake 8gb you received was prolly old fake stock which was made when that size was the largest.

  • 32GB card turned up from a more recent deal, still no sign of the 3 X 8GB on this deal though. Might avoid tinydeal from now on. On a sidenote, the 32GB card seems to be legit, with hologram and pretty decent copy speeds.

    • arrived!, only took 4 weeks and 3 days.

  • Hello, all.
Thanks for your comments a lot! We did received some feedback that some customers are wondering if our card is the original Kingston card. So we just made a video on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kpHRZIj1XVE

Please share your testing result with us, or the method to verify the card at the video. Thanks!
