[NuuVem] Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag ($18.40 USD - Historical Low!)

40

Description:

The year is 1715. Pirates rule the Caribbean and have established their own lawless Republic where corruption, greediness and cruelty are commonplace.

Among these outlaws is a brash young captain named Edward Kenway. His fight for glory has earned him the respect of legends like Blackbeard, but also drawn him into the ancient war between Assassins and Templars, a war that may destroy everything the pirates have built.

Welcome to the Golden Age of Piracy.

This game is sold under some strange circumstances as it is legal as well illegal to purchase a game. Basically, the site does not have rights, and thus when purchasing is a legal purchase resell, but it is actually a breach of the terms. This is quite tricky to understand, I do not myself, however if you are genuinely interested in the game at a cheap price. This is the new historical low.

If you do not wish to purchase here, this is a STEAM KEY, it is also on sale at Amazon here for $19.99 USD:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GJXMRX0/

**This game also uses Ubisoft 3rd Party DRM - NOT STEAM. ~~However it is registered to your Steam Account
permanently.~~ This is a uPlay Key.*

Please proceed with caution.

  • I put back 10 hours into freedom cry which i got 2 weeks ago in the steam sale for 7.50, shall pick this up

  • It's illegal but legal.

It is not a Steam key, but registers to your Steam account permanently.

    • I don't get what you mean. A game can't register to a Steam account permanently unless it comes with a Steam activatable key. Permanently means onto the actual Steam account, not the game client.

      • That was my point. I was simply recounting what the OP said. It makes no sense.

"This game also uses Ubisoft 3rd Party DRM - NOT STEAM. However it is registered to your Steam Account permanently."

        • Yes i agree it makes no sense what so ever.

  • It's not a steam key… It's a uPlay key… I dont think it's steam redeemable

    • Which means it can not be permanently registered onto a Steam account. It's a uPlay account redeemable key. Nothing to do with Steam unlike what the OP claims.

Wonder if the OP really means registered to the uPlay account permanently?. That would make sense.

      • I've bought a uPlay key from Amazon before and registered it on Steam. The game installed off Steam but forced me to launch uPlay to start the game.

Not sure what you mean by it won't be permanently registered to Steam?

        • This is not from Amazon. Amazon sells a special Steam activation key as well as the normal uPlay only activation key.

Actually the Nuvem page specifically states that this key requires uPlay for activation and download. This is not a Steam key. This is the normal uPlay only key. So this will not activate on Steam.

Special Steam activatable key from Amazon

          http://www.amazon.com/Assassins-Creed-Black-Flag-Online/dp/B…

Normal uPlay activatible key <—- Which is what's also being sold on Nuuvem

          http://www.amazon.com/Assassins-Creed-Black-Flag-Online/dp/B…

So the OP has got it wrong by stating permanent registration on Steam it's plain wrong for this key being issued by Nuuvem. uPlay only. Nothing to do with Steam on this key.

  • Does anyone think this game will get cheaper during the Black Friday sales?

I'm in no rush to play this game with my current backlog of titles.

  • My bad. I was meant to type that for the Amazon Link.

To re-clarify on my own mistake:

IT IS A UPLAY KEY FOR NUUVEM.

IT IS A STEAM KEY FOR AMAZON.

    Sorry.
