Got one but the LG Optimus L3 I got is only Android version 2.3.6 with no updates available. So I guess the old wife gets an old Android. I notice that the above description says LG Optimus L3 II, so there must be an updated version released.

i got this phone for my parents when woolies had it at same price. Perfect 1st phone for them cos it has a relatively long battery life
i still prefer the Huawei Y201 for the same money a while ago.

I think this is also locked to Telstra and has a bigger screen 3.5" vs 3.2" and higher res 320x480 vs 240x320

Yep, such low res is definitely a deal breaker.
At least it's not running 2.3 - that should be illegal (and in fact technically could be if you argue on 'fit for purpose'!)
Great little phone as I get easily between 5-7 days on a single charge. Only use it for making calls and tracking my runs so in all it gets about 2hrs of screen on time (about the same as my S3, but the S3 only lasts 12hrs!).
Wifi hotspot and voice navigation is good too and the unlock code was under $2 from ebay. Phones model is e425f for those interested.

just bought one as a spare phone, you can easily get it unlocked online in $7.

Just got this at BigW Highpoint, still have plenty left.. (only black) coz no special pricing mark on the display phone, still showing $69..
And successfully got it unlock using my telstra credit..
Just to share my experience, battery time is terrible. Only lasts for about 7hrs with lowest settings and brightness..
It may take a few charges as these have probably been in the warehouse for a few years. Let it fully discharge and then charge to full. Also turn off any unwanted services such as bluetooth, wireless, GPS etc. That will extend battery life.
Need new phone for wife, to go with her new car. Old one doesn't have bluetooth so this one is ideal. Thanks OP.
