Travel Pony 10% OFF Hotel Bookings EXTRA 500 Places! + $35 Credit New User Referral

FLASHPONY

Travel Pony Flash Sale. Save 10% off total hotel booking, first 1,000 bookings only. NOW ANOTHER 500. Pays to shop around other hotel booking sites, but worthwhile for an overnighter combined with $35 credit for new user with referral.

Doesn't give you the best price for all venues, but, I stayed at the Causeway 353 hotel in Melbourne for $125/night. Tried random dates early November (ie Spring Racing) and this hotel still comes up as $125. Closest price for same hotel on hotelscombined is $143. Then, factor in 10% off and possibly $35 credit.

Please use referral links below for $35 new user credit, then coupon code at checkout. Note there is a $200 minimum to use the $35 new user credit. This didn't apply for me when I used mine recently, so test this.

  • Is there a minimum spend to redeem the $35 referral credit?

      $200

I spent my $35 referral credit recently (last month), to book a room which was $150. No minimum applied for me although I earned the credit some months ago. Not sure if things have changed, the website does say $200 min spend. I'd say, test it out and see what happens.

  • Prices for the hotels I looked at in Thailand were pretty much rack rate, even with the discounts they cost more than Agoda et al.

    • Just because you couldn't find a good price for your hotels doesn't mean that others won't, and doesn't deserve a neg. see my research above.

      • Research? Comparing a specific date in the past to a peak time in the future isn't very scientific. You don't even mention that there is a $200 minimum to use the $35 credit.

        This is just referral spam.

        • As with all hotel deals, you need to shop around, but there are deals to be had here. I did a random search for hotels in Melbourne CBD in peak Spring Carnival period, and found deals that are significantly cheaper even before the 10% off or $35 credit. I got a good deal when I booked a hotel through this lot, and believe me I researched. Just because you didn't find what you wanted doesn't make it spam. I didn't mention the $200 because that didn't apply when I used my referral credit recently, so I would be interested to hear other experiences.
I get a bit tired of the 'referral spam' argument, we're all here to save $ aren't we?

@quaddie: OK I get it, you have friends on this forum who have decided to have a go at me for their own reasons. Wasting your time, I stand by my posts.
