    In regards to the dangers of using this? I think people are using them wrong..

    Why would you put a piece of cheap china junk into your car 24/7 and not expect it to overheat etc?

    The device is probably only designed to not blow up if you use it for 10 minutes at a time or less…

    This is normal with cheap electronics, they are made cheaply and run hot.

      These things read data from the engine control unit, so for your model bike: sit on the seat; find the slot just above the seat on the underside of the motor, you might have to rummage around a bit; put scanner up against the slot and apply sufficient pressure until you feel it click in.

    You can use these with the iPhone. You need to jail brake your iPhone and install software called roqbt see http://www.roqy-bluetooth.net/wp/
    This ap is not free, about $5. Dash commander is about $10 and you need that too, it was $50 last year. Bit of friggin about but I have it working.

        The trick is in the way you set up roqyBT4 + roqyOBD4 (assuming you have these installed & you are running iOS 5 or higher)…

        Click on the link below & skip to 04:55. It shows you how to set up roqyBT4 & DashCommand. I followed these steps & it worked for me (albeit on an iphone 4S running iOS 7.1.2 & iPad 2 with iOS 7.0.6) but considering this vid is for iOS 5, it should work for you…
