they more sim racers or arcade racers or a mix…I guess everyone has their own take on what a sim racer really is but essentially is the game worth it if you like racers. I have a limited internet plan and don't want to blow a % on a rubbish game with no life

ha. yes. I over explain things and didn't want to start a whole sim/arcade style game debate
They're older sims. Definitely worth it if you like racers, but not as good as rFactor2 or Assetto Corsa. More fun with a wheel than a controller, but still playable without a wheel.
Definitely outdated but still great fun, and it's eyefinity compatible unlike GTR2 or GT Legends. You'd definitely want a wheel though, it's not the kind of game that'd be any fun on a controller.

The original GTR waaaaay back was awesome for its day, the sounds of some of those cars on a decent set of speakers was amazing. Was the first sim that really felt realistic to me.
So is this the same game as Race 07 but with a different name?

For anyone wondering GTR Evolution is a full racing sim, it's not arcade or 'simcade'. It's meant to be driven with a racing wheel.
GTR Evo is basically an expansion to Race 07.
Have racing Sims made any advances since Grand Prix legends in the mid 90s?
I am new to this; have received the key via email. The PC gamer link doesn't work, where and how to install, please help me. Thanks
download and install steam first http://store.steampowered.com/about/
once thats installed open it and at the bottom it will have a little link to "+ add a game" then you want "activate a product on steam" and follow the defaults and it will download and install the game.Thank you nosdan.
Also includes Race 07 and the free-to-play racer RaceRoom Racing Experience (you can choose what you want to install).
