From Cybershack:

In conjunction with Telstra and Vodafone, LG are removing price as a barrier of entry and offering 2000 free G Watches. The first 1000 Vodafone customers to pre-purchase the LG G3 will receive a bonus G Watch, and the first 1000 Telstra customers to purchase a LG G3 from August 4 onward will also receive a G Watch.

While the G Watch has been available on Google Play from the beginning of July, customers will get their first chance to look at the watch in person from the first week of August. The G Watch will also be available through retailers Harvey Norman, JB HiFi and Dick Smith.

    Lg g3 outright =700
24 month by month plan on vaya= 18x24=423
That means……..this watch cost you $548

    • if going telstra network vaya on optus network

    • Not the same thing. This includes 3GB compared to 1.5GB charged per MB.

  • Would I be eligible for a free G Watch if I bought the G3 outright from Telstra?

Very interested in forking out the full $696 for one if that is the case…

Got an email from LG with the offers,

      telstra
Be one of the first 150 customers to pre-order your LG G3 with Telstra from the 29th of July 2014 and receive a BONUS $250 Visa Prepaid Cash Card.

      check the link http://services.lg.trclient.com/online/18246752-41.html

      • SO with Telstra do you get the Visa gift card and the G Watch? It seems like you do as the gift card is a Telstra promotion whereas the G Watch is an LG promotion.

    Cheapest 12 month plan is $96 ($70 plan + $20 handset) = $1152
    Handset cost (@Telstra) $696 1152 - 696 = $456
    G Watch worth $249 plus $19.95 shipping $268.95 456 - 268.95 = $187.05

So works out to paying $15.59 per month for 12 months for a Vodafone $70 contract if you had bought the Handset and watch outright (Which I was planning on doing anyway) and getting a 12 months interest free payment plan (sort of).

Can even stick that sim into my Tablet and just use the 3GB every month. Still works out cheaper than a stand alone 3GB Data sim (2.5GB month to month Mobile Broadband plan is $20 + $24 for modem currently)

    Not too bad.

  • Harvey Norman also have a preorder offer if you want the phone outright.
You get a free 128gb micro SD card with the phone, but the online price is $799 which probably isnt worth
it unless you price-match it which they may do (possibly to Telstra's price since they are also giving a bonus).

I was tempted to buy vodafone plan. My preference is to buy Lg G3 with 3Gb Ram. Therefore, I will wait till phone with 3Gb will become available.

    • 3Gb RAM isn't really that big of a deal. I currently have an XPERIA Z with 2GB of RAM and find that I almost always have between 512Mb and 768Mb of free memory and I am a heavy user of my phone.

  • Brought LG G3 from JB, their offer does not appear to them.
