Harvey Norman are having a one day sale tomorrow (Saturday 26th July) included in the sale is the Jawbone up (small or medium) for $97. Normally $149. Cheapest competitor is Officeworks at $119 (might be able to get cheaper using price match at OW) I saw the ad in todays Gold coast bulletin (page 23). Unfortunately I can't find the catalogue online so could not provide link.

There are newer versions of jawbone and numerous competitors but I personally have a jawbone up and am happy with it and find it to be accurate.

  Note that this is the UP which doesn't have wireless syncing. You need to plug it into the headphone socket of your phone.

  The UP24 is the one with wireless bluetooth syncing.

  Also look for reviews on amazon - a LOT of complaints about the lack of durability with these ones, compared to say Fitbit.

    Gotta agree. I've had two so far and they both didn't last through regular use over 6+ months. I wasn't hard on them, but just by the fact that they're on your wrist all day they're going to take some knocks.

    I really like the product, but I can't recommed them because they just don't last.

      I had one for a year then it died after getting it wet at the beach (water splashed on it not emerged). However I contacted jawbone and they sent a replacement without any issues, didn't have to return old one or provide receipts (possibly cos they can see activation date based on serial number I provided). I haven't had any issues with new one yet.

    have to agree, I have had the jawbone and fitbit, the jawbone without the wireless syncing becomes a pain in the arse.

      I must admit they do look pretty cool though, compared to the Fitbits!
