  • Is there much difference between the 2? Looking at getting one but unsure which one to go for

    • Official Android version will be same like your Android tablet, XBMC is as an Android app and this app is launched upon booting. There are also other apps (Matricom, Gmail.. etc) or you can just launch Google Play to install app/game.

The 3rd partly Linux version is just XBMC stand-alone. There is nothing else (i.e. no Android at all). Many users prefer this version as it's much faster (http://whrl.pl/RdQrcc)

You can also flash it by yourself to go back and forth between these 2 versions if you're unhappy with one.

$75ish - http://www.tmart.com/HD-1080P-Android-4.0-Media-Player-Dual-… Not a deal. This is double the cost.

If you're going to spend this much money get a Minix Neo x7 (quad core) or Neo x8 (octocore). They're solid units with good support. The x8 does 4k too.

    • Please note the $75ish one is very old MX, not MX2.

      • You're absolutely right. Let's just look on the manufacturer's website to find out what the difference is…

…the mx isn't listed anymore but they advertise "Available on Amazon for $109!" Let me just add that to the cart. Oh hey it's on sale too. $97.00 + $8.81 shipping. $105.81 all up.

So… what else have you got on offer?

I tried to order via your link above and ended up with $140 USD (using the slowest/cheapest shipping method, 10-16 business days) on Amazon. Thanks for your lie of $105.81 AUD and wasting my time to register on Amazon.

        • @kbp: So first up: http://i.imgur.com/LMZUsLL.png It's exactly as I said.

Having used a number of these devices I wouldn't touch a dual core unless it was $40 because you can have a quad core under $100 delivered. But, you know what? You should buy it. Seriously, it's perfect for you. A inferior item at a rotten price for a dimwitted person. A match made in heaven.

        • @Blasphemy: I think you read it wrong. $8.81 shipping is to a US address. Shipping to Australia costs USD $43.50, which makes the entire transaction USD$140.50 as @kbp has stated.

      • Nice try. You're getting a neg from me for the following reasons.

        1) Clearance sales and only 10% off? That's not a clearance sale.
        2) Your "RRP" is massively overpriced
        3) Are there special benefits to getting your overpriced TV box as compared to other identically spec-ed tv box? No

The $25 Titan black seems a good deal too. http://minasolution.com/nvidia/897-gigabyte-geforce-gtx-tita…
    $1274 cheaper than pccasegear

    • Thanks for spotting it, it was price error. Nice OzBargainers eyes :)
