how much are the banh mi over there? At B&B baguets near my work place, they are around $6.70
Thats a bit pricey, here in Perth I can get em for around $4.5-5
This is what I've found over the last 10 years:
Banh Mi from any Perth stores that sell them, you get
1 x ba'get,
1 x thin slice of cucumber,
1 x strand of coriander
2 x gratings of carrot
2 x thin slices of roast pork (or 2 shreds of chicken or 2 pork meatballs etc. etc.)
3 x cut pieces of chilli
1 x light squirt of mayo/chilli/other sauceBanh Mi from Mel or Syd, you get as per Perth PLUS the following:
4 x the quantity
4 x variety
4 x yumminess
same pricing as Perth.Perth doesn't even compare to Mel or Syd. Very stingy indeed. Enough said.
There were $6.50 at the Russell St store, but when I went last week I noticed they had upped it to $6.90 :O
Still delicious though…
Great to see the Argus building alive again.
They are offering free samples in front of their building right now, I just had bacon and it was tasty:)
Just got mine. At just past 11am, a small queue is starting to form. I expect a proper queue come lunch time!

Still quite busy at 1:30, I didn't bother would rather pay for lunch than wait. Will try ba'get another time..
